Poured from a 32 oz growler into a tasting glass.

L - Pours a lemon yellow with a creamy white head.
S - Smells very citrusy.
T - Tastes just like it smells, lots of citrus.
F - Medium carbonation with a little citrus bite on the finish.
O - Really nice IPA.

Opaque pale yellow with a fluffy white head that leaves a film.

Dank peach, pineapple, pine and apple, with an almost funky earthy essence that has us questioning if some Brett was introduced here.

Much more bitter on tongue than the aroma suggests, with a good amount of grapefruit, pine and spruce. I sadly do not get a lot of the lilac or other floral/wild plant ingredients, although maybe they help to pump up the heavy pine.

Heavy pine on the nose. A nice corn yellow cloud on the pour. Waaaaayyyyy too much carbonation. The pallet is in the citrus area with a hint of pine. Goes down a little hard because of the amount of co2. Citra hop dominant but not overpowering. Good beer.

Can acquired in a trade. Not sure I would have purchased it in a store partially due to the unusual and (to me) unappealing brand name. Also a few of the prime ingredients such as spruce tips and spicebush were somewhat new to me with regard to their impact on the beer's taste. Then there's the collaboration with Jester King - highly regarded brewer but, in my experience, having a tendency towards funky-type beers that don't appeal to me. Thus, I approached the beer with some apprehension despite the fact I've been pleased with Tired Hands products in general.

Happily, my apprehension was totally unwarranted. From the first smell and then taste, I was turned into a fan of the product. Weird name notwithstanding, there was nothing weird or funky about the combination of spruce and citrus that made for a very enjoyable product. I'll probably never have a chance to consume another can but I feel fortunate to at least have made a trade for this one. Tired Hands wins once again.

Thanks to my brother for this can, enjoyed chilled in a Tired Hands goblet.

The color is lemon custard -cloudy but apropos for the source -white fluffy head with fine bead and visible carbonation with fast moving bubbles.. The smell is excellent - very tropical and floral with a citrus fruitiness in the smell yet more like mango or tangerine as it begins. the feel is great as good as it smells with medium high carbonation and resinous body with light bitterness that builds with mild sweetness mid palate and semi-dry and bitter finish.

The taste is excellent -I enjoyed this more as it increased in temperature it starts tangy and fruity with mild herbal elements and slight wheat sweetness in the malt with a tangelo type citrus with subtle bitterness and gets more pine-like and spicy toward the finish. Overall this is one of the best Tired Hands IPA's that I have tried without zest or fruit, I love the herbaceous and slight earthen elements that give more complexity to the blend of citrus/tropical hop flavors Kudos Tired Hands/Jester King!

The aroma offers guava, grapefruit zest, pine, dank, white breadiness.

The flavor offers pine and spruce for days. While I may not be as familiar with the other ingredients added, green spruces jumps out at the front of this beer as it is surrounded by juicy grapefruit, light bready sweetness, medium bitterness on the finish.
