16oz can poured into a Hill Farmstead taster.

A~ cloudy Tired Hands style IPA, fluffy head and a ton of lacing.

S~ smells like a Tired Hands IPA too, kind of like a milkshake. very sweet lactos/vanilla, dank bitter hops and a lot of citrus. orange, lemon, grapefruit.

T~ pretty much the same as the nose with a little black pepper on the finish and more orange.

M~ very smooth, creamy and nice carb.

O~ definitely better than i expected but i really don't see the Hill Farmstead influence... maybe a bit more balanced?? but otherwise its just another good Tired Hands IPA. seems like all of their hoppy selection has that lactos/vanilla thing going on now.

Canned 10/4/16. Consumed 10/8/16.

A: Beer comes in a light gold, almost yellow color with medium-plus haze. Pillowy white head of about a finger's width slowly fades to a thin layer with a ring of tiny bubbles around the edge of the glass.

S: Explosively aromatic, way bigger on the nose than I expected. First thing that jumps out of the glass is that yeasty, estery note that I get in Tree House beers. In fact, the nose on this reminds me a LOT of aspects of Tree House's Lights On (which I just had prior to this). Slightly spicy/green pineapple and mango combine with BIG notes of sweet tangerine and grapefruit juice, and fresh papaya to sit right behind that dominant yeasty aroma. Underlying it all is a dank grassiness providing balance to the sweet fruitiness. Overall, this nose is up there with those of some of the best IPAs and DIPAs I've had.

T: Follows the nose, but toned down in intensity. Up front, it's not nearly as explosively juicy as the aroma would suggest and though it's still well beyond what I'd expect from the style. Starts off slightly muted, but the big fruit flavors quickly build on top of one another through the finish. Initially, it's green mango, grapefruit, tangerine, and pineapple. Yeasty, almost Juicy Fruit bubblegum falvor hits mid-palate and combines with the tropical fruit to provide a creamy feel. Light, very slightly grassy bitterness on the finish lingers along with sweet grapefruit juice.

M: Incredibly smooth and soft, exactly what you'd expect from Hill Farmstead. It feels delicate, effervescently carbonated, and even slightly creamy, which is insane given the ABV. Weight is light+ to medium-, but there's nothing thin or watery about it, despite the beer being well below 6%. This rivals the Tree House pales for the biggest feels I've experienced in this ABV range.

O: Wow. I am truly blown away by this one. It's been a while since I've had a pale ale that packs this much flavor and aroma into such a delicate beer. Combined with a pillowy soft mouthfeel (thanks Shaun!) and a 'beautifully' well-rounded finish, this beer offers a perfect balance of satisfaction and drinkability. In terms of the style, I'd put this up there with--if not beyond--Tree House's Lights On and Trillium's Fort Point variants, the latter of which are 1+% bigger. And while the name is probably more commentary than description, it pretty accurately sums up what you should expect from this beer.

I couldn't find a date on the can, but considering the aroma and flavor and the fact that my buddy got this pretty fresh, I'd say this was well worthy to discuss here.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a thick milky pale yellow color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. One ring of lace formed around the top.
The aroma had a superb blend of citrus pith/rind-like bitter character flowing into some dried melon/honeydew sweetness and then developing a keen sweet clean white bread backbone. Subtle bitter dried pine.
The flavor took all of those prior mentioned aromas to present a nice smooth sticky sweet white bready contour riding with the melon sweetness to glide into the aftertaste exceptionally clean and superb! The pine did enter in this department as it warmed.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Sure, it's a bit thicker for a pale ale, but it really hits the spot. Carbonation feels a bit under with the stickiness almost coming across as cloying, but in reality, it's not, it just has a stellar balance. ABV felt appropriate. Finish was a bit sticky.
Overall, what a wonderful APA that I would love to have again.

On tap at Tired Hands Fermentaria in Ardmore, PA.

This one pours a pretty vibrant yellow/orange, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

Smells like pineapple, mango, candied orange, grapefruit, some oats, etc. This is really awesome and expressive aroma.

This is a rare collaboration that actually feels like a collaboration between the two breweries, with equal parts reminiscent of each place. This has the wonderful zesty hop bite of HF, super green, with the pillowy mouthfeel, and the thick oaty juice bomb character from Tired Hands. Really wonderful stuff.

This one has a very soft pillowy mouthfeel, that is simultaneously thick and rich- magic. It's got a good level of carbonation.

This is quite wonderful, and one of the best Tired Hands I've had yet.
