This is going to feel very familiar... PaperHouse is our mango IPA. Brewed with wheat. Hopped singularly and intensely with Simcoe. Conditioned atop heaps of ripe mango purée. INTENSELY and progressively juicy and luscious.

MagoTago as it was supposed to be. The apologetic from the brewmaster at Tired Hands (posted on instragram) indicated that the chemically taste of the latest batch of MagoTago was unintended, and occurred for as-of-yet unassessed reasons. This beer, he wrote, "should taste familiar". It has, per the brewer, the same quantity of mango used in its creation, and an almost identical ingredient list save for 'a few tweaks at critical control steps'.
The result, is exceptional. Tried on tap at the Fermenteria. Pours a hazy, smoothie-like yellow-orange with a thick, one-finger head. The nose is straight mango, with a limited but present hop background. The palate is akin to the other New England smoothie-beers, but rather than showing the full spectrum of tropical fruit flavors, this beer seems too content to focus almost exclusively on Mango. Pulpy, fleshy, mango fruit taste gives way to a slightly underripe mango note (a positive accent rather than an overpowering Campden-tablet like flavor of MagoTago), alongside faint piney hops. Lemon and orange peel play on the the nose as well. Medium-thick mouthfeel.
Overall, an exceptional New England Smoothie IPA.

From draft at TH. Pours a golden, opaque yellow. Delicious nose of citrus with a mango undertone. Plenty of bitterness on the palate, but more tame than the recent, over-the-top bitterness of TH's Mago Tago.
