100% Nelson Sauvin hopped double IPA. Brewed with a nice portion of red wheat malt. Hopped singularly and intensely with hyper-pungent Nelson Sauvin from New Zealand. Exceedingly dense, sticky and drippy/sappy tropical. Find a scythe and slice open a pineapple. That's what his beer is like.

Thanks to Roy_Hobbs for this one. Record in NBS BIF #15
This was a very smooth Nelson DIPA. I tend to be less open to Nelson hops, especially single hopped. But this allowed for more nuances to come through in both the nose and taste: mild tropical notes of pineapple & passionfruit, some berry, peach, and grape notes in the dry white wine range. But again, smooth, varied, and not heavy handed.

Poured from a 16oz can into pint glass in June 2022. There was a canned date of 05/24/2022 on the bottom of the can. I bought this at the brewery, and drank less than 1 month from purchase.

Appearance: Deep gold/orange color with 4-finger white head. It is deep with a very hazy complexion, like other IPAs. The head is very thick, and it lasts a minute, leaving a small covering. There is a large amount of lacing on the glass.

Smell: Moderate aroma of citrus and pine, as well as some hops and pineapple. Also, some fruity aromas like berries. The citrus, berry, and pine aromas are more prominent than the other aromas.

Taste: Some bitter taste from the hops that is not overpowering, along with a moderate fruit sweetness like berries and pineapple. Also, some orange flavors. The sweetness and bitter edge are well-balanced. Has a very nice after-taste that lasts a moderate amount of time. Overall a nice balance and very drinkable.

Mouthfeel: Medium body. Moderate to above average alcohol, which matches the 8.0% listed.

This is a very good IPA. It has a nice mix of citrus, fruit, hops, and other flavors, which makes it enjoyable. Although this has different balance than other Tired Hands IPAs. I like the overall balance, and would buy this again. Another very good IPA from Tired Hands.

Thanks to Roy_Hobbs for this one during NBS BIF #15. 16oz can (Dated 3/24/22) poured into 14oz teku. Poured the yellow of pineapple juice, fully dense, and with 1-1/4 inch of white head that had good retention and light lacing.

Typical murkbomb aroma (yes, including pineapple), but none of the grape/wine scent one usually gets from Nelson hops. As usual, no grain/malt was apparent.

Fairly similar on the tongue, with just enough hop bite to keep some interest.

The body was the typical light-medium of the style, mostly smooth (just a touch coarseness, which helped keep things interesting.

Drinkability was OK, and I generally like Nelson hops, but this one was a bit of a chore for me.

Overall, fairly average for the style, with a couple things that didn't quite work for me. Try it for yourself and see.

Canned 3/24, always glad to try new Nelson... Love the name and the label.

Drippy, fruity hop candy. Pineapple, grape, and grapefruit primarily. There is a nice, bracing tingle at the end that isn't quite bitter. Glad to have tried this one.

Appearance was tough to rate. Cloudy yellow-ish color that didn't particularly appeal to me, but a beautiful long lasting head and very, very nice lacing. Aroma is bright and hoppy with plenty of grapefruit and tropical notes.

Taste follows the nose with a melange of tropical notes, some of which taste faintly like tropical lifesavers (but in a good way). Medium-full mouthfeel that's pleasantly soft.

Overall a good IPA.

From a 16oz can purchased at the TH release some weeks ago. Typical TH hazy/cloudy pour with a dark yellow/amber/nearly organge hue. Wonderfully expressive nose of tropical fruit and a palate to match. The higher abv is nearly invisible with little alcohol heat on the finish. One of TH's best!

Thanks goes out to larryi86 for this brew.

16 oz. Can
Canned On: 02/22/17

Poured into a Tired Hands glass a very nice cloudy golden yellow color, with some very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger plus white head, which also leaves some very nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, some malts, lots of citrus (especially pineapple), some diesel/dank. The taste is really nice, hoppy, malty, citrusy, pineapple, some diesel/dank. Medium body, with a very nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, another awesome brew from TH. These brews a just totally different the other takes on the style. Great Job TH! Thanks Larry!

16oz can poured into a TH tulip
Canned 2/22/217

A- pours a hazy golden orange color with a one-finger creamy white head that has great retention and leaves some lacing behind

S- smells of tangerine, mango, melon, pineapple, grass, slightly sweet malt

T- opens with notes of tangerine and orange zest, followed by mango & pineapple. Mid-palate is slightly sweet with some grassy notes. The finish is dry and drops off quite a bit with lingers of toasted wheat and citrus

M- medium body and carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a dry finish

O- tropical citrus throughout with a toasted wheat finish
