Notes:
Double IPA brewed with oats, rye, and spelt. Hopped in the kettle with massive quantities of Equinox, Mosaic, and Simcoe and then dry hopped even more aggressively with the same.

Medium-gold and hazy, fat off-white head trails some lace behind... On the nose, tropical and citrus fruits, something vaguely berry-like, and edges with earthy pine... On the tongue, a compelling melange of flavor impressions, including wood, lime, papaya, green pepper, and pine... Medium weight, moderate bitterness, mild, dusty sweetness, drying finish... Canned 3/17/17 - I'm assuming it held up real well, because this was incredible.

Drank 5/19 - two months past the canning date, a little aged but given the dankiness and ABV of this beer, I don't freshness is really key to enjoyment of this beer in particular.
I'm giving it a 4.0 overall just because it didn't knock my socks off in any direction, and after each sip, I just couldn't make my mind up as to whether I liked it or not. There was some alcohol lurking in the background and the color was a solid thick non translucent orange. An eighth of an inch head remained throughout and it sure was dank. It had a thick solid mouthfeel. I only had a single and surely wouldn't get this again if given the opportunity, but am glad to have had the opportunity to try this beer at least once.
Cheers!

Poured from a can 2 days after release at Tired Hands into a nonic pint glass.
L: A super hazy cloudy medium golden color with a big one finger white fluffy head. Nice lacing.
S: Super tropical with massive hops, melon notes, some pine and some bready malt. Just an outstanding massive aroma.
T: From the aroma to a massive explosion of fruit with huge flavors of melon....huge. Tropical fruits mix in with mango, pineapple and some a twinge of grassy hops. Malt stays bready with just a twinge of sweetness. The rye and pine dankness fill in towards the end with some weed too. End is bitter and dank with rye.... wow what a great suprise as I'm used to the TH finishes. This one finished bitter and bone dry. Great beer!
F: Full, coating, prickly, hoppy and a twinge of alcohol, still stays hidden though. Great carbonation.
O: What a fantasic beer that steers clearly in a different direction than what regular TH beers do. The dankness of this beer mixed with the just huge melon fruit flavors make it an absolute winner. If you get the chance, don't pass this one up. Very nice.

16 oz. Can
Canned: 03/17/17
Poured into a Squatters true pint glass a very nice cloudy golden orange/yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger plus white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is very nice, hoppy, with some malt, citrus, peach, nice diesel/dank. The taste is very nice, hoppy, malty, with a very nice touch of citrus, peach, very nice diesel/dank like. Medium body, ABV hidden very well. Overall, this is a very tasty brew. Glad to have gotten a chance to try it. Thanks Larry!
