Style: New England IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 8.00%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
Daydreaming of Indiscriminate Human Extinction is a dreamy and quasi-apocalyptic Double IPA. Brewed with gobs of oats and rye. Hopped intensely with Mosaic, Jarrylo, and Centennial. Bright and delicate like the vegetation that will reclaim the soil and stretch towards the sky when we are long gone. But seriously, there are big notes of Meyer lemon, Asian pear and lychee in this number. Beautiful imagery by @mikeillustrated.

Count dankula says i dont say blah blah blah unless i say i dont say blah blah blah.

I digress...this beer is amazing. Freshly canned today. Super juicy with dankness. Over the top feel. Thick as molasses on a pi e tree overlooming the ozarks.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a thick milky orange color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a fairly nice slow pace. Lace coated nicely around the glass.
The aroma had a nice mostly smooth grapefruit creamsicle-esque character indulging on some orange smooth sweet pulp. Lemon, nectarine and a little bit of pine at the very end.
The flavor leaned into the sweetness of the grapefruit/orange and nectarine sweetness flowing along with the creamy tastes. Mild aftertaste of the nectarine and grapefruit along with the creaminess.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a good sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt pretty low, but that didn't bother me. There was some stickiness, but not cloying as it just seemed to ride along my tongue with a little bit hop spice harshness just enough to cut the stickiness - really good feel to me.
Overall, very nice New England styled DIPA that I would love to have again.

pours out a nice hazed gold color with bright white head that leaves excellent lacing. nose is pretty muted. on palate i get doughy malts, slight creaminess, lemon, nectarines, orange, grapefruit, definite spicy bite to it, perhaps from the rye or the hit of pine on the finish. pretty soft mouthfeel. overall nice offering.

On draft in a 10 oz stemmed glass

Hazy opaque dark yellow in color, thick white head. Good lacing. Nice pungent hop aroma of fruit and a touch of earthy dankness. Taste is similar, with moderate bitterness and mild bready malt flavor. Softer mouthfeel, better than the other TH hoppy beers I've tried.
