Seeds and Stems is an Oak-Conditioned Hemp Seed Double IPA we brewed in collaboration with our buddy Brian from Stillwater Artisanal. Brewed with Pilsner malt, oat malt, & wheat malt, as well as 150lbs of wholesome hemp seeds. Conditioned on American & French oak spirals, and dry hopped with Galaxy, Simcoe, Citra, & Columbus. Far out notes of honeydew melon, unripe mango, spicy wood.

16 oz can, dated 11/1/17, poured into a teku
A- A hazy golden straw color with a two finger white head
S- Citrus, melons, some tropical fruits, some oak, herbal.
T- Melons, some citrus and tropical fruits, piney, a little dank, herbal and some mild oak.
M- Smooth, creamy, medium body.
O- Smell and mouthfeel are amazing, taste is solid but not as good as the other qualities of this beer. More bitter than most hazy IPAs but doesn’t have that big sweetness some of the other Tired Hands DIPAs have.

Tall can, I can find no canning date info.
Clouded pour, lasting of white cap, better the average fine scattered lace left on the glass.
Tropical fruit infused nose with oranges and soft ripe pineapple
On the palate its more tropical goodness, again ripe pineapple coming to mind. I cant sense any oak or woody characteristics...Wish I could...worthy and tasty take on the style

Poured from 16 oz can dated 11/01/2017
A: Very cloudy burnt orange with dense 1-2 finger white head. Lasting retention and moderate lacing.
S: Orange, pineapple, green mango, and honeydew melons. Subtle oak notes in the back.
T: Tropical citrus with pineapple, green mango, oranges, honeydew and passion fruit. Hints of pine nuts and walnuts. Kind of reminds me of an orange juice smoothie.
M: Medium body with average carbonation. Finish is slightly dry and lightly bitter.
O: Very unique and enjoyable DIPA. Thanks to @larryi86 for giving me the chance to try it.

Pours cloudy opaque amber gold with a dense creamy white foam head. Smells like honeydew melon, unripe mango, citrus, hemp seed, mild oak, spicy wood, with dank floral earthy herbal grassy resinous pine. Tastes like juicy honeydew melon, unripe mango, citrus, hemp seed, oak, spicy wood, with dank floral earthy herbal grassy resinous pine. Feels full bodied, creamy with moderate smooth carbonation. Overall a real nice and interesting oak conditioned hemp seed DIPA.

16oz. Can
Canned On: 11/01/17
Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice cloudy yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy/foamy two-finger white head, which also leaves some really nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, with some nice maltyness, very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple, mango, peach), nice little diesel like. The taste is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple, mango, peach), pretty nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV is hidden very well. a nice complex of citrus, with a very nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, a very tasty DIPA from TH. Quite different than other brew's I've had from TH. Not picking up any oak, but this brew could have a dry'er finish than other TH brews. Addictive! Orange Julius! Glad to have gotten a chance to try it. Thanks Larry!

Seeds and Stems - Tired Hands/Stillwater
Oak-Conditioned Hemp Seed DIPA - 8.4% abv
Canned 11/1/17 (11 days ago)
L - 2-finger medium-white head atop a translucent orange body.
S - herbal notes dominate. Some honey, citrus, and booze as well.
T - Wow, a very different taste. A burst of dank fresh bud at first. Also getting butter, oak, dirt, and something like anise? A sweet, bready middle. Mildly bitter finish. There is so much going on here!
F - Medium body and carb.
O - I appreciate this beer because it doesn't taste like every other Tired Hands ipa. If anything, it has more in common with their saisons and sours, having many different flavors imparted from the oak. I'm enjoying sipping on this quite a bit, since my unrefined palate keeps picking up on different smells and flavors that I can't quite identify.
