Thanks goes out to larryi86 for this brew.

16 oz. Can
Canned On: 06/20/2018

Always a joy to drink something from this brewery!

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, pineapple, papaya), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, pineapple, papaya), kinda sweet, pretty nice diesel like, Medium body, ABV is hidden very well, with a nice dry/bitter finish, nice little sweetness. Overall, a very tasty brew. Glad to have gotten a chance to try it. Orange Julius! Addictive! Milkshake!. Thanks Larry!

16 oz can, dated 6/20/18, poured into a teku

A- A hazy golden orange with a two finger white head.

S- Oranges, some sweet stone fruits, citrus rind, a little earthy, hint of salt.

T- Melons, some oranges, salt, citrus rind and some citrus zest, slight earthy.

M- Smooth, creamy, medium to full body.

O- This is a strange beer and a little hard to get my head around. Thankfully it isn’t as sweet as other DIPAs from Tired Hands, but something isn’t fitting in quite right with everything else, I think it is the sea salt. It is growing on me as a drink it, but it hasn’t sold me on the idea of spending $23/4-pack if it is brewed again.

Way Out - Tired Hands
DIPA - 8.3% abv
Purchased for $23/4 at Tired Hands
Canned 6/20/18 (18 days ago)

L - 1.5 finger bright white head atop a shimmering orange body.

S - oranges, pine, bubble gum. Smells quite traditional.

T - intense orange. Grapefruit rind. Pine. Grandma’s hard candies. Booze. Not tasting the “cacao juice”. Tastes like a west-coast ipa from latter days. Moderate bitterness. Low sweetness. Moderate booziness.

F - medium-full body with lower than usual carb.

O - Apart from the cloudy look and thicker mouthfeel, this presents as a classic west coast style ipa. Smells like one. Tastes like one. I still enjoy the style, but for $6 a can, I expect more.

Growler from the source. This one pours hazy light yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

I'm not entirely sure what cacao fruit is supposed to be like, but I get Goya manjo nectar, pulpy orange juice, grassy hops, tart peach, honey, and pink grapefruit.

This one really is quite nice, with a a great lightly tart citrusy character- OJ, tart peach, and sweet syrupy mango nectar. There's a bit of grassy bitterness, but it's mostly sweet and juicy hop flavor here.

This has a really killer mouthfeel- soft, silky, and creamy, with a great level of drinkability, and a typical level of carbonation.

This is super unique, and the cacoa fruit juice is used really well here. Tired Hands always seems to point me in the right direction.
