Cloudy sunset orange with three fingers of rocky yellowed head that last a decent bit and leave nice, thick lacing.
Soft wheat, oak and apricot in the nose; only lightly tart and sour smelling.
The wheat and wood are in the taste, too, but quickly overpowered by the strong acidic bite of many Tired Hands saison/wild ales. Clear apricot lingers in the aftertaste.
Soft, medium bodied mouthfeel with a mild zip to the carbonation.
I’m less forgiving of strong acidity in a “saison” than I used to be, but if you like these Tired Hands American Wild Ales, this is definitely one of the better ones. Great character from the wheat and oats; nice clear fruit flavor from start to finish; lovely wood; and the acidity honestly isn’t as high as some of their others.
