375 ml waxed and capped bottle served into a tulip. Big thanks to greenplastic615 for opening!

A: Dark burgundy/brown colored body with an initial thin off-white head. It settled quickly into a nice retention ring, complete with some thicker bubbles and minor lacing.

S: Rich red wine, wood, tannins, oaky bourbon, cherries, lemon, molasses.

T: Red wine and bourbon barrel blend are immediately evident. Huge red wine tannins, sweeter bourbon but not overpowering. The sour/tartness is really nice, full of cherries and lemon. A syrupy molasses note sticks and lingers on the back end.

M: Nicely balanced without being too thin or too syrupy. Medium bodied with just a ridiculous perfect level of carbonation. Classic Tired Hands.

I loved this one. It reminded me a lot of Domo which I thought was outstanding. The blended barrels play extremely well off each other. This is one I wish I attended the release for. Oh well. Thanks again for the pour Jason, you rock!

Unlabeled 375 mL bottle. Green cap, extra large TH growler style tag "Guillemot Nebula 8.2%".

Pours a deep mahogany with a light amber tinge, finger thick light tan head that fades to a thin collar of bubbles. Streaks of thin lace. Pleasant aroma of light roast, slightly tart red wine, vanilla whiskey and oak. Flavor is surprisingly tart and tannin like to start before blending to a slightly sweeter and drier bourbon finish. Cherry and red grape fruit throughout, less a black saison than a (catch all) dark American Wild. Medium light body, moderate carbonation, dry, oaky finish. Really impressive balance of both barrels, though the flavor favors the red wine. Need to try this with HF CD 4 next time, though I suspect fresh this was a more enjoyable beer.
