Screw-top growler received via Growling at the Moon. Thanks for the brew, Dan!

First stein pours with a 1/9" off-white head over the slightly cloudy golden brew. Head skims promptly, with sticky lace. Aroma is tangerine citrus.

Taste starts moderately sweet, oranges in the middle quickly give way to piney bitterness through the close. Fruity bitterness lingers. Mouthfeel is smooth, and drinkability is good. I have a feeling this brew could easily sneak up on me.

Had this on 2015-10-15 in Columbia, PA from a fresh growler from The Fridge

A - Very hazy straw-gold with a 1-finter white head that fades quickly leaving little lace.

S - Fresh wet hops, mild dank, mango, orange flesh, light pine and a little biscuit. .

T - Orange and pineapple flesh, pepper, earthy spice, honey, light malt, some alcohol sweetness and a TON of fresh hop bud flavors that linger with some fruit sweetness into a pretty bitter aftertaste.

M - Medium body and light carbonation. Very resinous and prickly.

O - Be prepared for a big lupulin shift after a glass of this brew. They didn't skimp on the hops; that's for sure. I'm enjoying it but in general, prefer more balance in a DIPA.

Pineapple, grassy notes, grapefruit and pine. Has a nice sweetness. Clean Biscuit malt. Creamy mouthfeel. Shorter finish. Would not guess that this is a little over 9%. Not bad.

Nice look to it, but a bit malty for me to rate highly. Hides the 9+% well.

A 16OZ glass at The Brew Cafe in Ardmore, I am intrigued by the name.

WEEDEATER looks like a golden IPA, a gold color, light yellow shades on the sides, light looking, a nice off white head up top leaving some patterns on the glass. This one smells straight up double. The malt is large the hops beneath it. Floral scents with some tropic fruit and bubblegum coming through. Drinking this, on first sips, this reminds me of all of the Port anniversary DIPA beers, the malt addition is spot on with that with big biscuit. Tropic fruit, very faint pine. Sweet, hoppy, floral. The feel is medium with a pleasant carb going that's not too bitey. A wholelot of alcohol in this, better to sip and savor. A fine DIPA. Think Port Anniverasry DIPA
