A group of epicures had this with spit roast lamb and a full regalia of chef cooked accompaniments - but really - it was extraordinary, especially in comparison to the hand picked wines and other "craft" bottles. I would imagine it would have been exceptional with any group of foods vegetable or meats - but wow - this was STUNNING.

1L growler shared by Thorpe. Thanks!
Pours a slightly hazed light golden color with a wispy white head. Yeasty and floral aroma with black peppercorns, chilis, Asian fruit, pear and lemon. Medium body with soft carbonation. Flavor is much sweeter and fruitier than expected, with a little pepper heat in the finish.

This poured out as a hazy yellow color with a foamy white head on top. The retention and lacing is pretty good. The smell of the the beer is yeasty with citrus aromas and some subtle spice. The smell isn't the most appealing to me. The taste is also similar to the nose, subtle spice notes with some citrus and earthy yeast. The mouthfeel is light bodied and smooth. Overall it's a decent Saison but I don't feel it's as good as some other they've made.
