First had: on tap at TH

This was really a triumph in the world of saisons.

Hazy white peach color, with a foamy half inch of white head that receded to a thick ringlet and laced the glass nicely. Aroma was bouncing between styles--saison, wild ale, gueuze--grass, citrus rind, cobwebs, white wine, damp wood. Nice grassy must up front in the taste, reflecting the aroma, with a mild but distinct tartness, lemon pith, white wine, damp wood. Kind of amazing that this beer was not more than a year old (or not much more). Light-medium body, crisp, dry mouthfeel. Unique and inspired. Probably one of the most important beers Tired Hands has released.

On-tap at the Tired Hands 1st Anniversary party, served in a wine glass.

A- Pours a hazy apricot color with a finger of creamy white head, nice retention and lacing.

S- Smells great. Lots of dry mustiness, a bit tart, along with a very nice fruit character of lemon and wine. Also some floral, perfumey aroma and some oak.

T- Mild sourness again in the flavor, lots of really tasty white grape, oak and tannic flavors. Some more dry mustiness, grass, and a bit of lemon. Finishes dry with lingering tartness. Damn good.

M- Medium-bodied, smooth, soft feel, finishes very dry.

O- Another delicious saison from TH. This is competing with Handfarm for the best one I've had from them, which, given how strong their saison lineup is, really says a lot.

On tap at the Tired Hands first anniversary party. According to Jean this is a blend of sour saisons that they have been working on for a year or so. This is hands down the best beer I've had from Tired Hands.

A - Pours a pale yellow color with a bit of cloudyness. Very little head retention after the initial one finger head receded, likely from the acidity.

S - If you served it to me blind, I would have guessed gueuze. Very musty, lemon-citrus, and oak forward smell. Wonderful.

T - Lemon, grass, oak, funk, moderate acidity, and all-around deliciousness with a tart/sour bite on the finish. Again, I would've guessed gueuze if I were served this beer blindly. Delicious.

M - Moderate sour bite, but drinks really easily with low to moderate carbonation. I had two 16oz pours of this and easily could've had more if not for my wanting to try the other available offerings.

O - If this is an indication of where the sour program at Tired Hands is heading, I'm very excited for year two.
