Tongue Extinguisher is our PermaCursed Double IPA. Constructed atop a subtle malt base of all 2 Row barley. Hopped and dry hopped intensely with hyper fresh Nelson Sauvin and Simcoe... both hand selected by our team in New Zealand and Yakima. I believe that this was our first “pungent and drippy juicy” Double IPA that we first brewed in July of 2013 at our humble #BrewCafé. We originally brewed this beer in an attempt to explore the outer edges of what “extreme” meant to us back then...Man... the more things change, the more they stay the same! This batch is ripping with notes of tropical pineapple smoothie, ripe gooseberry, sappy evergreen, sunny time Lemon Kush, and drippy champagne mango.

Might be the strangest tasting beer I've ever had. Yeast funkiness comes through on the back end, followed by a sticky bitterness. Tastes of wine, tropical fruit, and plenty of pine— in that order. Amazing.

A truly tasty and flavorful DIPA! Full bodied, tart, and dank. Big layered flavors. An excellent brew from TH.

So much citrus in this juicy DIPA. I'm getting tired of the style, but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy this brew. Although it was a predominantly citrusy beer, it did have some tropical notes (I think pineapple?) to round out the flavor and move it away from one-dimensionality. There was also a moderate bitterness that provided a nice follow up to the juicy nose. No malt that I could detect. Beautiful appearance. Great stuff from Tired Hands.

This one pours a hazy orange with two fingers of white head.
Smells of pineapple, orange, a bit of dank resinous pine.
Taste follows, predominantly zesty citrus, pine, pineapple, mango with hints of resinous herb.
Medium body with good carb levels
Overall another tasty TH brew.

16oz can dated 8/15/18.
Pours cloudy gold with a moderate head and minor retention. Pungently hoppy and tropical in the nose. Pine-rubbed candied grapefruit, peach, pear, and orange. Medium bodied with a tacky, resinous mouthfeel. Chock full of ripe tropicals on the palate. Peach, mango, tangerine, and pineapple. Zero malt and a minimal bitterness. Finishes with loads of juicy hops and slightly sweet.
Great beer, loads of juicy hops all around.

L - 3-finger yellowish head atop an orange juice body.
S - oranges, herb, pineapple, a hint of earth.
T - very earthy hops mingled with orange zest and some restrained dankness. Dirt, melon, a bit of pineapple, booze-soaked gummy candies. Moderate bitterness, low sweetness, moderate booziness.
F - medium body and carb.
O - still aggressively bitter, with noticeable booze. But a pleasure to drink. I still think of this as TH’s west coast dipa.
