Notes: Tower Station IPA is an unfiltered IPA that greets you with a copper-orange hue and fluffy white head, releasing aromas of tangerine and pineapple. Pilsner and Pale malts balance hop-derived flavors of grapefruit peel and pine to finish the journey.

Pours a clear light gold color with a one finger of white head that leaves great lacing. Aroma is faint with a light citrus. Fairly indistinct. Flavor is much better with a great citrus blossom over a lightly sweet pale malt base that crests in the midtaste. The finish is floral and sweet with a little pepper.

Great west coast IMO. I would reach for this any time.

Had on at Tucson Airport / Noble Hops bar. Attractive and super smooth IPA. Even at @7% abv... it’s a pleasant sessionable sipper. Lightly burnt gold with creamy foamy head. Head dissipates quickly but lacing is excellent. Remarkably clear; almost lager like. Beer served cold and nose subdued. Pleasant but minimal. Warming didn’t help. Nothing stood out like taste did. Full Tangerine citrus; noticeable hop bitterness but softened and sweetened with pineapple. Delicious! Very smooth mouthfeel. Draft beer the way it should be. Carbonation bright enough to be refreshing but light enough to not burn or distract taste. Very nice.
A very good overall IPA that I would enjoy anytime... but could be a great summer sipper. Well crafted!

An iconic Flagstaff standard. Hoppy and bright, this beer has strong pineapple and flavors on its finish. This beer goes perfect with pizza or wings, and comes in one of the best designed cans we've seen. Undoubtedly Mother Roads best beer, as it sets a standard for all other IPAs.

Tastes of tangerine with hoppy bitterness at the end. Pours copper orange color with carboanation. Head doesn’t last that long. Drinkable IPA but not east coast quality.

Clear golden amber brew with plenty of spritz and ample foam. Flavors of pine and orange and a hint of grapefruit peel. Bitterness is so nicely appropriate to the balance. It's fairly strong but so tasty for a more robust quaff. Just sweet enough with that light malt flavor, even a touch of honey. That is followed by the straw and a bit of pepper.

This is my favorite beer this trip to Arizona. So mellow and drinkable and a pleasant change from the Southern California parade of juicier, hazier, and fruitier. Not that there's anything wrong with those, but this is so pleasant and drinkable and clean. From the 16 oz can purchased at Safeway in Tucson.

16 oz. can:

Pours hazed yellow. Thin lacing sticks.

The smell is of musty grapefruit with tangerine.

The taste is of grapefruit bitterness and tangerine sweetness. Some black pepper spicing in the finish.

It has a chewy, smooth medium body.

Fits the style of a hop-forward, yet balanced American IPA well. Nice!

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/20/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, toasted biscuit, honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.3%. Overall this is a delicious IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, not aggressive. Feels like Citra, Centennial, Amarillo hops. Nice juicy and fairly dank hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with mild lingering sweetness. A very enjoyable offering. Very Midwest feeling style example, well balanced. Held up very well for the modest age.

On tap at Tubac Resort, watched them swap the keg! FRESH!
L: Lightly hazy, medium amber orange, big billowy off white head, lots of sticky lacing.
S: Sweet citrus hops. It has a mildly tropical smell. Nice ripe fruit. Good. Picked up a little dank towards the end of the session. Wish the aroma were more present.
T: Good IPA bitterness on the front, great fruity finish. It has a nice sweetness to it. Orange and grapefruit hops. The finish and aftertaste are uniquely good. Not too bitter. Very flavorful yet very drinkable and friendly.
F: This has a thickness to me that favors a DIPA. Nice. Enough bite to be refreshing.
O: My first AZ beer and I love it! If they had these in Alabama this would be my go to IPA. Good flavor, not too bitter, not too sweet, plenty of abv... Good job Mother Road.

On-tap at Pizzacletta in Flagstaff. Advertised as a “Northeast IPA” called Helton? A tasty and hazy hoppy beer that paired well with everything we ordered. A decent hop bill but not the fruity juice bombs that people crave these days.

Terrific 'go to' for any occasion. Had one last night while grilling, just the right amount of balance for an American IPA. Good amount of citrus and pine but not overdone. Great work Mother Road!

Pours copper-orange with a finger of white foam. Head retention is good, with fair lacing left behind. Aroma is a pleasant mix of pine, resin, citrus, and dank hops, with pale, and biscuit malts. Lovely old school combo. Flavor profile is resin, citrus, and pine hops. The citrus hops play first chair, with resin, and pine playing 2nd and 3rd fiddle respectively. Pale, and biscuit malts present throughout, tethering the slightly bitter hops to a firm foundation. Mouth feel is medium in thickness, with a crisp, velvety feeling. Overall, a smooth sipper that delivers on the more old school, and west coast style of the IPA. It's well balanced, and tasty through and through.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 16oz can.

Decent beer. I got my hopes up after reviewing the high scores it received here, but I’m a little disappointed. It’s an easy drinking beer, but nothing that stands out in a sea of excellent IPA’s. The flavor is just lacking something. Would drink again but wouldn’t go out of my way to find it.

Cloudy gold with foamy, white head. Grapefruit and tangerine dominate the smell, incredibly fresh scent. Smooth, delicious taste. Notes of pine and just the right amount of hops, but a very smooth drinking IPA. Terrific beer, my new favorite Arizona beer.

This is a beautifully balanced IPA, not overly hoppy and ridiculously smooth. Slight hint of pine on the back end which is nice since this it’s a Flagstaff brew. If you can find it for under 12 bucks jump on it!

Had it on draft at a Flagstaff steakhouse. Poured into a tall glass. It was a slightly cloudy yellow with a decent head and good lacing. The smell was very citrusy. The taste was bright and of grapefruit. Good beer!

A hazy burnt tangerine with a half finger of white foamy head that settles slowly to a ring. The aroma is as advertised. I get pretty big pineapple, tangerine/citrus, and pine. Also a bit of a toasty bread quality. This is less than two weeks old, and it comes through, especially in the flavor. Nice big tropical, citrus, and a dank resinous bitterness mid palate. I know they use some Pilsner malt but what I really appreciate is the way the hoppy qualities play with the malt. Back and forth with the sweet and bitter. Nice, full lingering bitter bite prevails, in the end. Medium body, mild lacing, full carbonation, and quite dry. Pretty nice tropical brew.

Second best IPA in AZ just behind Dragoon's

Look: Lightly pale

Smell: citrusy

Taste: Well balanced, hoppy, but not in your face. Hints of citrus and grapefruit. Digging the use of pilsner malts in an IPA. It works well with this beer

Feel: Bitter, perfectly carbed

Overall: If you want the best IPAs in AZ this is in the top five.

16 oz can. Pours hazy golden, finger white head leaves lots of lacing. Sweet melon rind aroma. Semi sweet caramel malt and lots of melon in the taste, balance nicely by piney herbal hops. Ver solid IPA, enjoyed it.

Pours a very cloudy yellow orange with a solid foamy head and decent lacing. Smells of hops, orange peel, pine, and maybe some grapefruit with a little floral mix. Taste is great, full hops flavor with a nice interlacing of citrus to blend this one into a perfect beer. The finish is fantastic, very light dryness and lingering citrus leave you going back for more. This is a great beer to sip during a game or out by the pool, it is just refreshing and well balanced, cheers.

Poured cloudy gold with a moderate head. Smell was very floral and slightly citrus. Taste was similar, with just a little earthy, hoppy, resinous touch. Mouthfeel was perfect. Overall, a nicely balanced IPA. Definitely recommend seeking this one out.

Big thanks to DblDiamond for sending this to me for the NFL Confidence Pool! Reviewed from long-standing notes. Poured from a monster-mouth 16 oz. can into a Cigar City snifter glass.

A: Moderately hazy gold with minimal to no head. Has a good amount of visible carbonation though.

S: Citrus (grapefruit and orange), resin, herbal, and tropical fruity hops all are here, but the citrus dominates the arena. Light biscuit malts in the background.

T: Orange-accented citrus, tropical fruits, and light melon. A good bit of sweetness from the malts, but no real caramel flavor. Moderate bitterness in the hang with more citrus rind flavor.

M: Medium body, alcohol presence is well-hidden. Carbonations sensation a bit on the low side.

O: A tasty beer, and maybe a notch better than your average shelf IPA. It's not anything I'd actively seek out if trading were involved, but I would very gladly drink again. This would be awesome to take out golfing.

On tap at Mother Road.
Hazy gold hinting toward amber in hue. Fluffy white head jumps forth and finally settles down to a solid finger. Lacing like a day old bowl of cornflakes. Smell floral orange zest, some malt too. All comes together smoothly. Taste is again orange (a little rindy), but also some pineapple, I think hints of jasmine flower, nuanced dank notes, slight bitter, and an understated but ever present sweet malt. Bitter comes through a tad more upon the finish. Mouthfeel is full enough, slick, and carbonation plays along gently. Overall, I think this one is fine as is.
