Pours out a hazed brown with hardly any head at first. The head completely goes away shortly. Smells like brown sugar, toast, and grain. Tastes really sweet, very toasty and grainy. Booze is apparent. Lacking German bock traits and leans more towards a "double" Shiner Bock. Mouthfeel is kind of sticky and lacks some carbonation. For all of the literature on the can saying how it's trying to be an example of a German style bock (and making subtle references dismissing Shinter's flagship), it actually tastes like something from the Spoetzel brewery (but not as good).

I actually kind of liked it. I will say it is the best thing I have had yet from this brewery.

Great pour. Plenty of carbonation. Medium Amber colored. Caramel and Malty flavors are more like a Doppelbock. Good hop amount to balance out the sweetness. Personally I use more when making this style, but it is a great beer to have in the cooler when the kegs are dry. It's a lighter version of Wasatch Devastator Double Bock in my opinion.
