Poured a bit into a tonic glass, and it's slightly hazy and copper, well carbonated, and with a decent creamy header.
Smells ok, malty, bready.
Tastes nice and hoppy and rich of citrus juices, lemon and grapefruit in particular, and some sweet crackers. I normally don't check out pale ales, but this makes me want to open that new door.
Tasty, smooth, much bang for a 5 and a half percent brew. The description on the can is quite confident in itself being an original Texas pale ale, full of big hoppy flavor but without the "boozy wallop." That boast and even the can design are somewhat off-putting to me, however in this case, these brewers can back up their words. Hits the spot, zesty zing, interesting. It went down quickly. This motivates me to seek out APAs again.

This one pours a moderately cloudy golden color with a nice ivory white head that settles leaving a nice lacing down the glass,

The nose is moderate but earthy with notes of grass, pine and citrus.

The taste is a sharp and dry hop experience with the maltiness being completely subdued. The hops are bitter with earthy notes to match the nose.

The moutfeel is pleasantly rich and satisfying.

Overall a very drinkable and strong IPA with the cliche matching that what is in Texas is bigger and this is a big hop flavoring.

Gold (4+) pour with thick, creamy white head;decent cap retention; good clarity; heavy lace. Lite grass hop nose. Semi sweet caramel malt, and very lite bitter hop tongue. Medium lite, almost creamy mouthfeel; moderate carbonation. Overall, easy drinking with lite malt linger.
