Rice cracker, cereal, some white tea bitterness. Pleasantly light, no acidity, delicately sweet. It's fairly enjoyable.

A few comments here are a bit... disrespectful lol.

Look: Crystal clear dark yellow and my somewhat gentle pour causes a billowing white head to swell up and hold as a pillow, slowly relenting to reveal sheets of lacing left behind
Aroma: Freshly baked bread, cereal grains, soda crackers, light floral hops, and a waft of a honey-like sweet note
Taste: Starts out with steeped cereal grains and light cracker malt that begins to intertwine as bread and floral hop notes enter the scene and join. These all go back and forth until the honey-like sweet note signals the close, until the next sip
Mouthfeel: Light but not too watery, clean throughout, medium-high carbonation, and a crisp and clean finish
Overall: I dig it. I only first had this beer a year ago and remember being surprised that it didn’t set off my spidey senses for being a cheap macro adjunct lager so wanted to revisit and I again feel the same way about it. A solid and fairly tasty, easy-drinking American Lager that is a good no-nonsense option and readily available

Easy drinking clean beer. Lots of carbonation to my surprise. Better than the overall rating in my opinion. Better as it comes up in temperature again imo.

Metallic after taste. Reminds me of an American Lager like Yueling. I would not describe it as "perfectly balanced".

Poured from a 19.2 oz can; no birth date. Poured light yellow with tiny carbonation and effervescent bubbles. Tastes of stale hops and malt but surprisingly freshing. Of all the adjunct lagers, this is one of the better ones.

Does Japan even drink? Based on this beer, clearly not. It's like a busch but unamerican and therefore awful.

Poured from a 600mL bottle into my weizen glass, brewed in La Crosse Wisconsin.

On the pour I get a 1 finger head that I thought would be bigger so I was a bit gentle to fit it all in, but lively carbonation and some lacing. After a while the dead fades and all hope of lacing is lost. Color is just like any other mass produced lager, light golden, and crystal clear.

Aroma is quite malty with crackers and light bread at the forefront. Slight skunking is noticeable, but not overpowering. Definitely a lot of lager character here. Behind the skunk actual hop aroma is noticable.

Taste follows the nose but loses the skunkiness, and trades it out with a decent amount of bitterness for the style, and a load of malty sweetness, emphasis on the sweetness. The sweetness and some hop flavor seems to linger on the palate.

Feel is quite crushable and smooth, with some crispness, but it's not the most refreshing lager out there. More of a meal pair than a work beer for sure.

Overall another "import" pale lager with only a few characteristics that make it stand out and none that really makes it a Japanese beer other than the name. It's okay, now that I've had it I'll try something else next time. Better than the Coors Banquet I had the other night.

Clear gold, white head, poor retention, no lace
Slightly sweet malt, a touch of floral hops
Tastes like it smells, maybe a hint of blackcurrant
Light bodied and effervescent
good for what it is

This one pours a clear and very light yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like essentially nothing. Like, zero aroma.

This is also tastes like basically nothing. There's some corn or rice like graininess, a touch of sweetness, and maybe some damp grassiness. It's not great.

This is very light bodied, crisp, but not cleanly brewed or very drinkable overall.

I guess this kind of goes well with sushi, but that's not really all that true.

Drank from a 12 ounce glass bottle. Scores are based on the style.

Look - A very simple, elegant, even stately label. Really hammers home the idea of "premium beer." The color choice is impeccable and beautiful. The bottle isn't any kind of special shape or anything, but the simple raised accent of "Sapporo" and the star logo really bring everything together. Top notch packaging.

Smell - A fairly dirty sweetness, noticeable shades of bread. Only a slight air of skunk, but it could just be a decent slug of good earthiness - hard to tell right now.

Taste - Take the overall pleasant but slightly shady nature of the nose, then double the best aspects and remove any doubts you had before. This beer is surprisingly flavorful, quite refreshing, and a real joy to drink. Nearly perfectly balanced flavor, a tap dance on the tongue. Nothing remarkable or groundbreaking or fantastical, but what you get is a delicious and more-than-competent lager.

Feel - Oh boy, that mouthfeel. Perfect level of carbonation, a silky smooth consistency, soothing with every sip.

Overall - This is a real winner among plain old American lagers. I can't think of anything else that approaches this quality, I'd happily make this a regular in my fridge rotation.

From a bottle, pours as a clear yellow with a thin white head that rapidly dissipated. Subtle aroma of perhaps a neutral grain (like rice). Flavors are faint of rice, malt, and hops. But these are bearly strong enough to compete with random flavors of yeast and bread, and corn. It's best recommendation is that it's not offensive.

Look: Pours a transparent, perfectly clear yellow with a nice white finger one inch head of foam. Lots of carbonation visible through the glass.

Aroma: Pleasant notes of toasted corn and rice - almost like rice krispies. Some notes of dried hay.

Taste: Surprisingly dry but initially sweet. Mostly tastes of sweet barley and toasted white bread. Some notes of red apple. Has a slight floral nip on the end. This is pretty basic but it's not bad.

Feel: Bubbly. Dry upfront. Sugary sensation imparted to the tongue after the initial dry/floral sensations subside.

Overall: I actually really happen to enjoy Sapporo from time to time. It's nothing special - it's not going to leave you speechless or anything - but I find it to be more palatable than beers like budweiser, corona or heineken because of how dry it is.
