Bought a bottle at the Beer Shop in East Longmeadow, MA. Served in a pilsner glass. The beer has a clear, light amber appearance with visibility for the carbonation and a thick, solid foam head. Aromas include a mixture of grassy malts with some bready smells and dark fruit. The carbonation of the drink was really great at bringing out the flavors. Flavorings include that dark fruit/grapefruit taste alongside light malts with a bitter-sour finish. Overall, I really like the look and mouthfeel of this one.

On tap. Pours a light copper color. The aroma is soft. The Lager yeast is very mellow. A bit of pale and amber malt. Flavor lacks the quenching lager essence I desired. Not enough flavor from the yeast. A bit of bread and biscuit and cooked grain. Light bodied. Boring.

Dark amber colour, decent head.
Aromas of dark fruit; raisin and light cherry. Slightly toasty malt. A little souring fruit.
Ever so slightly tart fruit on the taste. Blackened toast, and the usual savory lager taste.
Overall very unique, smooth and lightly acidic lager.

Hey, its a light brown lager! Thin lingering head and very clear beer. The smell is mild, but pressed to sniff it is a bit sour, probably the low point of this beer. The taste is very low on hops and pushes forward the caramelized malt flavors. It's got a pretty good mouth feel, the right amount of carbonation. It finishes slightly sour, mostly clean.
This is a simple recipe, slightly unconventional, lager, done mostly right. Unfortunately, it lacks that extra level of complexity. I would kick up the early hop additions to match the sour, which is possibly related to an imperfect mash pH.
