Poured into a Haw River Farmhouse Ales teku glass. Notches indicate that it was bottled in March 2015.

A- Pours a hazy medium amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white fluffy head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a large center patch of sheer surface foam. Semi-resilient slivers of lacing.

S- Very fruity hop aroma brings to mind orange and potpourri spice. Also a bit grassy with a slight booze fume.

T- Taste follows suit with some peach, mango and melon notes with a restrained bitterness. Very easy to drink for the ABV. The fruit complexity continues with grapefruit rind and apricot.

M- Somewhat dry with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the lighter side.

O- This IPA is pretty much all citrus rind which is nice if you're looking for a hoppy beer that focuses more on the fruity aspects, isn't heavy on the bitterness and also isn't too sweet. First I've had from this brewer and I'm impressed.

What a great beer. It cant compete with the Hop Essence Series but it is fantastic. IPAs are all over the place these days but this one has a nice orange hop profile to it, not too syrupy and a solid malt presence. Pick it up and support BMJ!

I am three for three with this, picked up my third separate bottle today, this one brewed on April 2014. I am surprised the reviews and rating for this beer is not higher, this one really suits my personal palate. The floral hops and bitterness are great. Highly recommended.

Poured a cloudy copper orange color in a Spiegelau glass.

Nice aroma: piney and earthy.

Taste: intense pine, hoppy spiciness. There is a wonderful hoppy bitterness to the finish.

Excellent with food pairing.

Overall: excellent local IPA. Using malt from local malters Valley malt in western Mass makes a difference. There is a freshness to this beer( BB date is 10/15)
Especially good with food pairing.

12oz bottle poured into an Idle Hands tulip (1/2015 on the label)

A - Pours clear with a medium amber color and a finger of soapy white head that falls fairly quickly and lots of foamy lacing on the glass.

S - Earthy hops underneath a top layer of citrusy grapefruit and some resiny pine. A touch of caramel malt in an otherwise light, biscuity malt base.

T - Pine, mild citrus, earthy hops. Medium bitterness that is earthy and a bit dull. Subdued in flavor overall.

F - Medium body with medium carbonation. Pretty much as expected for style.

O - Overall...not bad, but nothing special. Perhaps on the fringe of its freshness window, but quite drinkable if not memorable.
