Quite a good beer, unfortunately overpriced.

Poured from a bottle into a Teku glass.
Look - Light tan, almost pink in color. Almost no carbonation, besides tiny bubbles that linger around the edge of the glass.
Smell - Sour grape must with hints of oak
Taste - Very balanced, the sour does not overpower the grapes.
Feel - Light on the tongue and doesn't leave behind too much sour in the back of your throat.
Overall - My first offering from TRVE and I will certainly be looking for more. A truly fantastic sour beer with some trippy bottle art.

On tap at Warpigs. Clear pink color with white head. Smells like a rosé wine. Tart, floral with wood barrel notes. Taste starts tart, reminds me of a rose petal cordial. Also some wood and aspirin notes. Light body, dry finish.

Poured into a wine glass

Appearance: beautiful rose color – very similar to white zinfandel. There is no head whatsoever. The beer appears flat. Nice clarity.

Aroma: lacto sour and mild funk. The funk is earthy like cork, maybe some oak, but if so, very light.

Flavor: nice. The sour is spot on. It isn’t mouth puckering, but it is certainly present. There is a mineral flavor in the background. The grape pomace is not detectable. Finishes very light and clean with almost no aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: thin, typical of the style. Just a tad bit more weight than water.

Overall: enjoyable. The best beer I’ve had from Trve. This is a noble effort, but this beer does not command the $14 / 375ml price tab.

On-tap 5/1/2017 at Mac & Walt’s in Norton, MA, served in a becker pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep pinkish purple color, with a thin white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains tart cherries and grapes, light malts and some wild yeast.

T: The taste likewise starts out with a strong tartness from flavors of cherries and grapes. Then some mild breadiness comes in from wild yeast and a thin malt character. There’s also a touch of Gose-like saltiness. The after-taste is slightly tart.

M: Smooth and very crisp, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and clean.

O: Tasty and complex, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a solid sour beer to drink for a while.

Picked up two bottles in Colorado Spring. While I can't leave a review as long as the last guy, I agree 100%. The perfect combination of a lambic, sour and red wine. I'd take this over most Russian Rivers and most anything else. Not sure I've ever left a 5 overall before.
