Served On-Tap

A — Pours a coppery light reddish hue into the glass. There is a little bit of an off white head that forms and leaves some light lacing behind, not overly spectacular.

S — Smell is light and somewhat sweet with notes of caramel, grains, and lightly toasted malts.

T — Taste is nice and light, much like the nose, there is some light sweetness here as well as roasted malts and grains, little bit of a bitter noble hot finish, but not too assertive.

M — Medium bodied, fairly light actually, with a semi-quick finish.

O — Good overall, still a bit of an intro to the rest of their stuff, not bad though.

Pours golden with an amber hue, a off white head. Aroma offer some breadiness, grains, and just a kiss of some sweetness offering the suggestion of some berries. Flavor was a wall of graininess from a huge dose of oats, on top of some cracker from the malt, and a touch of sweetnes suggesting the berries the brewery identifies. A medium bodied, slightly active mouthfeel. Overall, this one really grew on me. Wasn't sure about it at first, but after a couple sips I was definitely digging it. A very interesting session ale.

i had much higher hopes for this beer, billed as a table beer, its a little english, and heavy on the malt for what i think they were after, certainly for what i was after. its got a deep copper color to it and a tall white head maybe two inches high, thick and lasting pretty well. the nose here is the same as the flavor, metallic and english malty, a little stale, a little sweet, and nothing like a session beer i expected to find. its heavy for its abv, a good winter session i suppose, but the malt profile doesnt taste all that nice, and there is an astringency to the finish, almost burnt or something, maybe a weird recipe, maybe an off flavor, tough to tell. more filling than it needs to be as well, this is the least enjoyable beer i have had from these guys, needs some reworking to fit the table beer bill i think, especially when i compare it to others, as nondescript as the style generally is, it isnt this in my opinion.
