A: Nothing special or out of the ordinary pouring a dark, nutty brown. small head, no lacing or carbonation to the eye.
S: Really had to tease the beer a lot to get a smell which isnt good for me. Once you get it I get some brown sugar, vanilla, alcohol and rich cherry
T: This made up for the earlier sections in my opinion! cherry, alcohol sweetness, some cocoa, malt. All very prominant and not too much alcohol on the profile like some other scotch ales
M: sits medium-heavy with medium carbonation and pretty much what I think of a normal Scotch.
O: There is some room to grow but the taste profile on this beer was better than many other breweries. Has the alcohol/strong-ale profile you would expect and a little cocoa and vanilla to offset nicely.

On tap at the Holy Grail. The beer pours a deep reddish-brown color with a tan head. The aroma has a lot of toffee and dark fruit notes, with a lite bit of peet malt. There is also a hint of smoke and some alcohol. The flavor is heavy on the malt, with some peet and caramel notes coming through first. There is also a little smoke and some dark cherry notes and alcohol. Medium, creamy mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
