Growler fill from Craft and Growler in Dallas. Pours a deep honey amber, 2" head which quickly dissipates. Excellent lacing through the life of the pour. Initially sweet on the tongue, with a nice but not overwhelming burn on the back end. This 2L growler will not last long. Excellent example of a high ABV barleywine. Will definitely refill given the chance.

Fantastic offering from Peticolas, and easily one of the most drinkable/dangerous barleywines out there for sure. Pours a golden color, with little head (but lots of lacing as you drink). Smell is a combination of honey sweet and alcohol, and mouthfeel is good (albeit a bit lighter than some barleywines).

The taste is fantastic - sweet, strong alcohol, almost winelike, but surprisingly easy to drink at the same time (a sharp contrast from some barleywines). Had this one on tap at the Common Table, and was pleasantly surprised indeed. Definitely recommend checking this one out before it disappears.

Color is really light for a barley wine - had to double check with the barkeep that it was the right one :)
Flavor is smooth and malty, but not particularly boozy. Good, for sure, but not great IMO
