I recently made my first visit to this new store and it won't be my last. The store is multiple things, a neighborhood mini-mart, a cereal bar, a craft beer store, a tasting room and a growler fill stop.

There was a nice selection of local, regional, national and international brews available in bottles and cans and their selection will grow with time. You can purchase a bottle for on-site consumption or to take with you. They feature progressive pricing on their growler fills, the 1st is $10, 2nd $9, 3rd $8. There are 5 taps and choices rotate.

They are also hosting brewers nights featuring special brews and give-aways. There will be (perhaps is, I didn't ask) a limited menu available. Overall, a welcome addition to the Fourth Corner beer scene. Worth a pit stop off of I-5 if you're coming or going to either Seattle or Vancouver , BC.

Edit 12/3/14: I've changed my score, mostly based on price. While there are still decent draft prices, bottles for limited and rare brews have been taken to a new level. ES is the most expensive place in town for the sought-after seasonal releases. They now have over 20 taps, and there is generally a nice variety, but again, anything "special" is gonna be spendy. I can no longer say that this a Must Visit stop when passing through the City of Subdued Excitement".

I'm far from an authority on all things Bellingham, but this is a must-stop for me whenever I visit the city. The selection is always great (and refrigerated), the people are nice, and the place is comfortable, well-organized, and clean. Prices for the Rare stuff may be a little inflated, but as an infrequent visitor, I can live with that. You, most likely, will be able to as well.

Swung by while in Bellingham visiting a friend. Coming from puritantical MA, I've never seen a spot like this. The back wall is filled with chilled beers running the gamut from local, to west coast to imported. Some East Coast and Midwest options but this is all about west coast and PNW beers. Singles for sale that you can pay a $1 more to enjoy onsite. About a dozen beers on tap - I had Forestone's Bretta Weisse. Love the set up - encourages you to explore the cooler and even step and dig deeper. Chill vibe, dive bar-ish feel. I'm a fan of all things boxed by Firestone Walker so this place is my jam.

I visited Elizabeth Station on a recent visit to Bellingham and it's definitely a must-visit if you're looking for a bottleshop in the 'Ham. It's got a bunch of tables for on-premises consumption of beer and a large selection of taps for pints or growler fills; I'd say there were at least 2 dozen taps. Even though I was there at 10:30 AM, there were folks already settling into pints; seems like it would be a cool place to hang out for a while.

99% of the packaged beer available is refrigerated, with only a few sale items out on the floor. There's a great selection of singles broken down by geographical origin, plus a walk-in cooler with lots of 4 and 6 packs. The staff were friendly and seemed beer knowledgeable. I'd like to hit the place long enough to have a beer the next time I'm in town.

Great stuff on tap, really nice selection of singles that you can browse while sipping, prices seemed perfectly reasonable to me, and staff/service was just fine...it was midday on a weekend, so... Nipped at an Almanac Gose while shopping for plenty of interesting PNW stuff that I can't get back in the Midwest.

Elizabeth Station generally has local, or otherwise outstanding craft brews on tap. Sixteen of them!

The food is very good. I've never left unhappy with what I ordered. They even have a cereal bar, which is great for kids.

The bottled and caned beer selection is among the best I've found in a store/bar, and are kept cool. They don't charge a corking fee for pouring any of the beverages off the shelf either.

Great place to socialize, and have some good grub. Definitely recommended!!

Great selection, always some good choices on tap, a little more expensive than others in the area for bottles.

Tap list is amazing and constantly changing. Large selection of sours and difficult to find beers. Knowledgeable and welcoming staff. Great environment and vibe, tough to beat a place where you can enjoy a pint of beer while you shop for beer!

Very nice selection but really spendy. If you live in Bellingham, then maybe this is for you. However, if you are visiting from other areas along the I-5 corridor, then there are better options for cheaper. Again, nice place with great selection but the mark-up is rather significant.

Happened to be there for their sour fest 2014. Shopped around afterward. Selection is pretty darn good (not the best in the world, but I'd be there regularly if I was near it). Prices are OK, probably about average for beer specialty shops, but more expensive than most grocery stores or big box stores. I got a chance to chat with the owner, who was very cool. I'd recommend it.

This place is fantastic! Visited here for the 1st time today. The guys that work here are friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection of NW beers and bunch of others. They serve food as well as snacks! This place is better than the beer/bottle stores in Seattle, IMHO.

One of my favorite 'local' bottle shops. It's always worth a stop coming or going from Vancouver. Sometimes we cross the border specifically for this shop! The selection is amazing and always something new I've never seen or heard of. They get in rare US seasonal bottles 2-3 months before we see them in Vancouver, if we even get them, most we don't actually. A lot of people say it's 'expensive' but to that I say you pay more for a premium product in every other walk of life, why not beer/beer shops? And honestly compared to Vancouver this place is super cheap. Have been going here about a yr+ now, yet to attend any big events, but they do cool tap takeovers regularly, themed nights like Sour Monday. The panini me and a friend had were great! I believe they do food trucks some days now. Cool wine room. I love the option of having a taster/glass of beer while shopping. Although not unique to WA, this is illegal in Canada! ALL THEIR BEERS ARE STORED IN A FRIDGE! I can't stress how great this is. Follow them on Twitter or FB for updates. Oh ya, and I think they have 20-ish taps now, growler fills too.

This is a great place to relax and drink beer. It isn't a main stream place yet, it has a good selection of beers, and in my opinion is the best bottle shop in Whatcom County. Everyone is super nice and helpful, plus Elizabeth Station is family friendly. This is always a positive, since I have a couple of little boys. This is a bottle shop, not a bar, so there is a three drink maximum.

This place is becoming expensive...plus they up charge bottles of harder to find beers you could easily find significantly cheaper south of Bellingham.

This place flew under my radar, unfortunately since it turns out to be a fantastic bottle shop. A great selection of single beers and 22oz bottles make this a great stop to look for something unique. There's a great selection of some high end and hard to find beers for the area and continuously expanding. If that's not enough, there's a great selection of glassware and 5 taps. While that doesn't seem like a whole lot it is promising because they don't seem to have your normal local bar beers and they're inexpensive. They had Old Guardian for $3 a schooner and $5 a pint! Growler fills are usually only $10 and you can get kegs as well They update their tap-list religiously at http://www.beermenus.com/places/4158-elizabeth-station
They blow out of their kegs or exchange them so it's constantly rotating. I will definitely be haunting this place for a long time to come.
Update: While prices for drafts and growlers have remained low, bottle prices have climbed. Where they were under or the same as other retailers in the area the prices have gone up on average 50 - 80 cents (and even more on a few I noticed) over other locations prices. You might want to look out for those bottles that are more rare to the area rather than do all your bottle shopping here. Still a great place to have a pint and browse.
