Can into a tulip. Transluscent orangish-pink in color with 1/2 a finger of bubbly white foam. Good carbonation, very fizzy. A bit like a blood orange champaign. Yeah, I just made that up. The nose is sweet tart strawberry, apricot, a bit of basement funk, along with typical vinegary notes. The taste is on par with the smell, only sweeter. Quite tart, but the sweetness of the fruit shines through nicely. Not as funky as it smells. Light, carbonated, and dry feel.
Overall, pretty good.

As their "Weld" series stems from its pear focus and embarks next upon the strawberry version of sour ale, the succulence, tang and ripe flavor of the fruit reigns front and center among the beer's complementary and more natural fruit flavors.
Strawberry Wels pours with a hazy mauve pour- one suggestive strongly of red berry with a heady froth that carries its own pinkish tint. Sour fruits abound on the nose with apple, lemon, berry and wine.
As the middle palate unfolds, those sour fruits hold firm, but intensify with crabapple, lemon and lime, cranberry, boysenberry, strawberry, rhubarb and rose wine. Light spicy flavors of white pepper, vinous spice and premier tartness remain true as the balance favors dry fruit over spice or sweetness.
Saltwater taffy, hard candy and balsamic flavors frame a sweet and sour session as the medium-light ale trails with drying wine flavors, cider and sharp white wine. An aftertaste of strawberry retains its spirit with faint echoes of burlap and weathered wood.
