Another rare BHB bottle shared with me on Black Friday. This is very spicy and chocolatley. I swear this beer is really living up to the hype i've heard!

The base beer kolb's Farm Russian imperial stout is already Aweome beer. the base beer has notes of coffee and chocolate from the malt that are very prominent.

this beer actually has 2 different coffees, cocoa nibs, ancho Chile, habanero, vanilla, and a few other goodies Blended in.

Mind blowing good. absolutely put it right there with Mexican cake, Hunapu, or any other great spiced Imperial Stout.

This is a great one-off from BHB! Their Kolb's Farm beer is awesome already, and they added a bunch of stuff to create this beer, and I wish they would have made more of it. It's hard to get out in retail and have to go to the brewery itself to get the best beers.

Excellent variant of an already exceptional RIS, the heat is just right. YOu can taste all the notes, coffe, honey, oatmeal, chocolate, vanilla and perfect heat from the smoked peppers.

Pours silky black in the glass with 2 fingers of khaki head. Nice lacing throughout.

Smells of vanilla, coffee, ancho peppers, cinnamon, possibly toffee and molasses. More chocolate on the nose as it warms along with a bit more vanilla.

Taste is incredible. What Mexican Cake should taste like. Full bodied stout with many different layers. Chocolate and coffee. Then comes a bit of silky vanilla turns into a subtle raisin like pepper with a touch of heat on the backend. One of the top 5 stouts Ive had for sure.

Mouthfeel is exactly want you want in a 13% stout. Thick and chewy and full bodied.

Overall one of the top stouts in the southeast. Put up against cycyle, cigar city, angry chair etc. Super lucky I scored one from a friend of mine. Awesome. Just wish they would make this onr again. Killer.

Truly a solid BA Mexican style RIS, tried it last night side by side with BA Abraxas. Mind blowing experience. I'll be seeking more bottles for my cellar to stash away next to my other beloved beers.
I was soo fortunate to get 2 of only 108 bottles.
Great Job Burnt Hickory

Shared bomber bottle.
High complexity and originality.
A bit hot but this is mainly some hot pepper. Minimal head.
Prominent vanilla but not too much with plenty of dark grain flavor. Some chocolate.
Some lasting heat from the chillies.

Gold specked red wax capped 22oz bottle acquired by a friend from the brewery release yesterday (6/11/16). Served in a Burnt Hickory snifter.

Pours jet black with just over two fingers of deep khaki head. The froth settles to a few wisps and full collar that leaves only a couple specks of lace.

Aromas of coffee, dried peppers, dark chocolate and a little vanilla. Nice.

Flavors of coffee, dark chocolate, Mexican cake, vanilla, deeply roasted malt, molasses, brown sugar, singed caramel, a little smoke and a kiss of alcohol. A nip of pepper heat on the back end keeps it lively through the finish. There is alot of good stuff in here.

Huge, mouth coating sludgy feel with gentle carbonation. The finish is spiced Mexican chocolate coffee cake with a slight roasty quality and a mild touch of vanilla.

Burnt Hickory delivers a big, decadent, delicious bruiser of a stout in this variant of Kolb's Farm. Burial Truce is full of roasty stout goodness and certainly warrants a try if you can get some.
