Notes / Commercial Description:
The soldiers that dragged the 100 cannons up the side of Little Kennessaw Mountain knew something about fortitude. This ale would not let them down. A piney/citrusy/ danky IPA, Cannon Dragger is aggressively dosed with “C” hops all threw itʼs journey from the grain to the glass. Itʼs pays off, Itʼs a feat of amazing beer strength!

4.19/5  rDev +2.9%
look: 4.25 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4.25

Appearance: Pours a hazy amber capped by a nice head; good stickage and quite a few dots/dashes of lace

Smell: Smells like a pine forest; biscuity undertones

Taste: The biscuity flavors emerge first, with just a hint of caramel in the mix; by mid-palate the hops take over, bringing a pine blast; the finish is very bitter though there is some residual balancing sweetness that lingers on the tip of the tongue

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation

Overall: More of a traditional East Coast IPA and quite good when you think of it in that context

look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Appearance: Served up a well-hazed, medium amber-hued body with a medium-small, creamyish, off-white head.

Smell: Initially, a sniff of caramel squares, then, inviting citrus hop notes, florals, some stern-looking resins, and, then, another closing hint of caramel.

Taste: Sweetish, malty caramel flavor propped up by toasted grains joined by resinous floral tones and pithy citrus accents hinting at times of lemon, at times of grapefruit. Moderate bitterness. Mild alcohol presence. A bit more caramel prior to the bittersweet, citrus-hinted finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Fairly smooth.

Overall: Good stuff! There are some shades of DFH 90 Minute here, I feel.

The beer comes in a clear dark reddish amber.

The aroma has lots of caramel sweetness, sweet citrus, slightly lacking on the aroma. Some dank on the back end.

The flavor falls flat on hop character. In general, it is a malty and sweet "DIPA." However, very clean despite that malt driving body and falls back on the finish with medium plus bitterness. Grapefruit and resinous pine, from the slight hop character that exists.

Bottled 1/9/15 reviewed 1/30/15

Appearance: Pours crystal clear orange with a 1.5 finger off white rocky head and leaves excellent lacing.

Aroma: Intense orange and tropical fruit hop aroma.

Flavor: Same fruity character as the nose, with extra layers of grass/pine. Bitterness is very in check. Super smooth IPA.

Mouthfeel: Dry and refreshing for 8%, with a moderately lingering bitterness.

Overall: A world class IPA Georgia's are lucky to be able to call their own. So stoked to be able to get this on the reg.

Aroma is seriously hoppy - boing boing boing! Pours a nice, somewhat hazy amber with a thick off-white head. Flavor has strong hoppy note with hints of honey and fruit. Texture is firm and smooth with lots of fizz and liveliness. If you like hoppy beers, look for this one next time you are in the Atlanta area.
