John Bell Hood was called “Old Wooden Head” by his troops for his tenacity and hard headed-ness. Our ale is just that. Full of hops (how many? we donʼt know) Full of Malt (we shut a whole field down) this extreme gravity beer will not stop until you surrender to itʼs amazing flavor.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a semi cloudy light Amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is full of fruit. The taste has plenty of fruit and a nice alcohol bite.

4 mo old can poured to plastic hotel cup (all I had...) Whole Foods in Mobile, business trip.
Look/color is nothing special but nice. Huge thick tight head!
Smell is rich but balanced with ripe fruit and mellow pine.
Tastes is pretty good. Rich, flavorful, not too bitter, it’s a big beer, as balanced as a 10% DIPA could be, not too bitter, it’s not too sweet or fruity but those elements are present, not boozy at all. Hmmm.
Feel is like nothing I’ve ever experienced! There is a big bite on my tongue with every sip and it’s a good bite! This is what I call tongue numbing hoppy goodness! But it’s also thick as a DIPA should be!
Overall, this Georgia brewery has got something unique and very special and satisfying! Shared one of the four with my coworker (he’s never had a craft before, yet alone a DIPA, can’t wait to see what he thought about it!)

L - Bronze with clarity
S - Pine hops and booze!
T - Piny and boozy - like the aroma. Tasty but a very slow sipper
F - Medium body and light carbonation
O - A piny DIPA that will knock you out - be careful! Average for the style

Look: rich orange amber with bubbles stuck to glass. <1cm head
Smell: really fruity and juicy, blood orange, mango, jackfruit, cherry
Taste: closer to pitted fruit than citrus, sandalwood. Very concentrated pine
Clings to your tongue after, a little harsh
The aftertaste and mouth coating doesn't go away and is not pleasant

First had poured from 12-oz. bottle into TEKU. This Southern Imperial IPA is big, and alcohol-forward, but balanced like an even-sided artillery battle.
