Pours a hazy orangy Amber. Aroma is acidic citrus with a grassy funky undertone. Flavor is passion fruit with a tart salty finish. Has a smooth finish and overall this is a very nice saison and you really get the acidic passion fruit flavor of the maracuya.

Pours a golden-orange hue with minimal white head. No lac end settles fast. Smell is of papaya, passion fruit, some light wheat flavoring. Taste is a little sweeter on the back. Still picking up the wheat base. Tropical notes are of mild sweet fruits, a bit under ripened perhaps. Minimal tartness. Feel is light and effervescent and finishes pretty dry. Overall, the flavors could have been a little more prominent.

Bottled in August, enjoyed New Year's Eve. Light orange/gold pour with minimal lacing. Nose of overripe guava, lychee and kiwi. Taste is swampy, tropical and humid; a mix of mangrove, banana farm and rainforest during the summer. Not very sour - let's get that out of the way right now - but slightly so and a little sweet and tart. Enjoyable because it feels light (despite the medium ABV), crisp and finishes clean. Would've liked a little more sour or tart punch but the tropical profile is here in spades.

On tap at brewery

Pours a golden orange. Smells like tart tropical passionfruit with woodsy grass notes. The taste is wildly pungent and sour, in-your-face with intense notes of passionfruit and tropical citrus. It is fairly light with decent carbonation. I'm not a huge passionfruit fan but I can enjoy this beer for what it is. The product is great and a must try if you are ready for a tart, sour, wild ale to hit you with a passionfruit zing. Definitely a unique and wild beer.

Poured from a bottle dated 08/15 into an HFB goblet
A - Dark straw colored, a bit of carbonation feeds a minuscule cap that leaves on a run!
S - Tropical 's, and fleshy big fruit, passion fruit, mango and the like.
T - Surprising in the wheat base, with fruit profile, and a bit of honeycomb. I like the medley.
A Berliner and a very light tart on a hot date.
F - Medium in body, a wheat dryness, and fruity mid palate.
O - Very interesting, fruits and base dance the safety dance but a little tango lurks in the back.
Cheers all

No real head, hazy tan orange color.

Nose big passion fruit, guava, fruity, mild malty note, little citrus and tropical.

Taste mildly sweet, big juicy fleshy fruity, tropical fruit, mild passion fruit, guava like too, citrus generic tropical, mild bitterness, little yeasty mineral note, hint of malt. Finish sticky sweety, a thick passion fruit paste lingering, hint bitterness.

Mouth is med bod, little thick flemmy feel, decent carb.

Cloudy, light Amber color. Good, but quickly receding, head. It leaves a ring of lace initially. Spots thereafter.

The aroma is not attractive to me. I can best describe it as reminiscent of beef stew. It's subtle, but very present.

Light malt transitioning quickly to a sour cherry flavor. This shows up most strongly in the swallow and aftertaste. Rich bodied but with a good level carbonation.

7/17/15 bottlign date. 5.6% ABV.

A: Pours a very cloudy pale orange. Tall, frothy light tan head. Decent head retention and spotty little bits of lacing.

S: Citrusy. Light oranges and lemons. Passionfruit sweetens it up a bit.

T: Hmph. Lightly tart lemons mixing with passionfruit. Very wheaty with that sweet cereal grain background. Fruit flavors are acidic and fairly sharp but not over the top. A slight hint of funk too. A little more of that sour lemon in the aftertaste.

M: Lighter bodied, very smooth.

O: Huh. I was expecting something sour but it's barely on the edge of just tart. Not quite a sweet fruit beer either. Sorta hovering between the styles. Very soft, smooth wheaty backing provides for excellent balance and drinkability. Lightly tart and acidic fruit flavors compliment nicely as well. Really works out nicely and in a unique way.

Had this on draft at Night Shift, poured cloudy orange-yellow into a tulip glass, fluffy white head quickly fading down to a thin white lace. Medium mouthfeel with medium-low carbonation. Aroma is a burst of tropical and citrus fruit with a whiff of funk. The flavor is incredibly juicy, like a glass of grapefruit juice if grapefruit juice didn't suck. It finishes with a lingering acidity. Overall, it is incredibly drinkable. This one left me wanting another. Then again, I am a sucker for sours and fruity aroma, so this beer was right up my alley. Definitely worth a try if you are into sours and fruity aroma.

Night Shift Maracuyca on tap at the Five Horses in Boston. The beer is a hazy unfiltered apricot. Nose of fruit and something sour.

Nicely sour and the passion fruit adds a nice overlay. There is a bit of funk and some nice graininess.

The low carbonation works great with the soft mouth.

I would love to have regular access to this one!

Had from the bottle. Beautiful hazy golden wheat color. Aroma heavy on pineapple with a bit of funk. Front end flavor is slightly tart with a juicy tropical fruit flavor. There is a noticeable fruit juice sweetness that provides balance but is a little too powerful for my palate. The finish is malty and refreshing. A little bit of pucker at the end would have rounded out the flavor a little more.

Served on-draft at Night Shift. Slightly hazy golden orange body, small white head in the mini snifter. Aromas with tart fruit, funk and perhaps some pineapple. Never had passion fruit but from having other passion fruit beers, you can certainly tell the fruit is in this beer. A bit tart but nothing out of the ordinary.

Poured into a pint from a 750ml. Bottled 7/17/15

Look: Hazy and light golden orange in color. Very little head and dissipates to nothing quickly

Smell: Slight sour funkiness, ton of passionfruit. Nuances of pineapple and orange

Taste: Tastes much like it smells. Starts out tart, end with enough sweetness for balance. Big time passionfruit and pineapple

Feel: Medium body. More syrupy and less carbed than i would like

Overall: Cant wait to get another bottle of this. Really unique, kinda hits me like a berliner weiss and sour hybrid. Tastes great, just wish it was a lil lighter or had a bit more carbonation

Had on tap at New World Tavern. Taste is passionfruit, wheat, and sour mix. Makes for a nice and relaxing sipper that I would get again if I found it on tap.

Smell is pure Passion Fruit. It's the best part of this beer. Tastes wheaty, some stone fruit, passion fruit twang. Wishing it had a bit more sour bite, but rounds off to a very drinkable tart ale.
