Canned 01/30/17...important to mention that this is one of my least favorite styles of beer...

As approachable as an American Hefe can be. Retains enough German-ness (Germanity?) while adding a touch of American flair. Big fizzy head and slightly hazy. Nose is on-point for the style, with that yeasty and grassy aroma you expect. Super tasty with the spice, yeast, and faint hop background you want. Feel is superb, being crisp and refreshing. Just make sure to drink it cold, as its flaws are exposed as the beer warms (sitting outside on a February day reaching nearly 70 degrees!).

I find it funny that many reviews are stating how good this beer is but people are rating it in each category in the high 3's. Such a score indicates that a beer is just average, not good. I wish the Bros had a pop-up message after hitting 'Rate It' or 'Submit' that asked, "Are you sure you critiqued this beer according to style, rather than all beer you've ever consumed?" This is in the top 20% of its style, not just another '4' generic beer. Yes, a Hefeweizen doesn't taste like an IPA...how surprising!!! The tragedy of letting everyone be a critic...

Tall can, 12/19/16 on the side of the bottom...so yeah...nice and fresh..

Pours hazed lighter and dull looking...large and lasting puffy oatmeal cap...leaves coating low sheeting and some moderate bits of lacing

Yeasty, bananas and coriander filled nose.

More bananas, more coriander and more yeasty goodness on the palate here. Very enjoyable Hefe, soft , smooth and tasty...well worth a try...Gotta love a domestic high quality Hefe in a can.

Pours clear, light gold in color, with one inch head. Taste is banana, clove, Belgian spice, and light grassiness. Very light bodied. Super easy to drink. Another really tasty beer from Night Shift.

Poured a slightly murky golden color with a creamy white foam head. The smell is spot on with cloves, banana, and bubblegum. The flavor is good overall but falls a little short of the nose. You get the orange rind in the finish. The feel is medium, decent carbonation but has a creamy feel. Overall this is a great interpretation of the style. Very refreshing and easy to drink. Will fill in nicely now that I'm not in Texas to get Live Oak's hefeweizen.

16 oz can dated 11/28/16

Pours a crisp, clear gold color with plenty of carbonation. Zero haze... not sure how the others are getting it. One finger fluffy white head that settles down into a creamy froth that clings to the sides beautifully.

Aroma is strong with clove with a slight sweetness (others say banana but i don't get it)/ Also I get a sour smell from it - I thought this might have been a saison when I first opened it and had to double check the can.

Taste has the caramel sweetness come through strongly behind a wheaty malt flavor. The banana flavor hits much more in the after taste along with a bready flavor.

Mouth feel is clean and carbonated with a slight zing at the end.

Overall this is a pleasant beer. I'll admit that hefeweizens are not my thing so I'll keep the qualitative comments to myself. Glad I tried it though.

Poured from a 16oz can into a speiglau wheat glass.

Look is a hazy golden amber with yellow highlights and a thick white head.

Aroma is pure banana and clove yeasty and delicious .

Taste is a little astringent and thin, but finishes in the typical banana bordering on bubblegum hefe note.

L -- Pretty standard hefe look, a lot like Weihenstephaner but with a smaller head with less retention and lacing.
S -- Fruity yeast esters, doughy malts, clove, pepper.
T -- Wheat, lemon, sweet doughy malts, grass, orange peel, and a hint of banana
F -- Watery around the edges.Feels a bit limp
O -- A tangy take on a hefe, while still retaining the style's classic elements

P- Poured from a 16 oz can, into a Allagash tulip glass, served at New World Tavern.Date on the glass is 03/13/17.

L- Thick soapy white colored head with moderate retention, and light sticky lacing on the glass.Hazy gold colored body, with moderate clarity, and distorted light showing through the glass.Very heavy amount of carbonation.

S- On the nose I get bright wheat notes, with banana, cloves, and, orange peels.

T- The palate follows the nose with heavy wheat up front, banana and clove on the middle, and orange peel with trace notes of pine hops on the back end, with lemongrass.

F- The mouth feel is light bodied with a silky texture.Minimal oxidation on the tongue, with an extremely smooth finish.

O- This is a very good Hefe. It's probably one of the best of it's style I have ever tasted.I would definitely drink this again. If you like Hefeweizens,I would definitely recommend this brew.
