750 ml. bottle.
Bottled August, 2015.
Time has done this beer good!
Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a bright, light copper body with some lacing. Nose of citrus, sauvignon blanc grapes, and slight funk. As it warms, the funk gets funkier. Taste mirrors nose with a finish of a bit of honey. The grapes are predominate throughout the experience and this is fantastic paired with my salmon dinner. Nice feel of tiny bubbles akin to champagne. I would definitely have this again (if I could find another bottle!) Previous reviews have been putting down the higher abv, but these reviewers need to put their adult pants on and enjoy a well made wine barrel aged saison. Cheers!

The flavors just do not come together here. Drinks like a boozy Belgian ale. The Brett isn't coming through. The alcohol level muddies the flavors. Some pear notes and a hint of spice. Carb level is too low.

Orange body with a slight Amber hue. Foamy off-white head dissipates quickly leaving just a ring. Aroma is big on white wine, funky oak, hints of fruity sweetness. Sweet tree fruits and honey up front, funky Brett and oak towards he middle and a big boozy white wine note towards the finish. Feel is full bodied and syrupy, lingering flavor and hints of booze. Slight carbonation prickle as well. All in all his beer has potential, but feels a little to boozy. The barrel influence is very nice, but I think the beer would be better with the abv toned down slightly.
