Dark body, thick light tan head. Decent head retention.
Aroma is very sweet with apple brandy notes coming through. Slight hint of roasted chocolate, but alcohol notes overpower most of the more subtle aromas.
Taste far outshines the smell. I get some roasted chocolatey oatmeal to go along with the sweetness. Flavor comes in waves with the sweetness presenting prior to the more savory notes. Alcohol could be hidden a bit better.
Nice thick feel to this one. It lingers on the tongue
Overall, this is a very, very good beer. There is a nice complexity of flavors and this isn't overly sweet like a maple syrup apple brandy aged beer could be. The biggest thing holding this back is that it does not mask the alcohol very well and it overpowers other sensations in both taste and smell. We have one bottle left and I think we will sit on it for another 6-12 months at least to see if this will mellow out some and strike a better balance.

L - Pours dark with an inch worth of head
S - Sweet with a cocoa note.
T - CBS without the burn.
F - Creamy. No burn. Easy on the pallet.
O - Fantastic. I kept this short seeing as I am sure this will not fall short of the high 90s
