Canned 11/10/17 Opened on 11/11/17 !! Freshhhh!
6.1 % abv. One pint.
As I pour it out of the can, I can already see it's smooth body texture from the addition of oats. The hop aroma is reaching me in a very intense way without having to hold the imperial pint glass up to my nose ! Very aromatic hop aroma, earthy, dry leaves, citrusy tang, very "fresh" hopped style. The malt aroma is light and sweet but the oats addition can be detected with a smooth, vanilla-ish tinge.
I'm always interested in a brew that contains oats, especially a Pale ale. I find the affect on the body and mouthfeel is excellent, making it ultra smooth and lush. This one seriously delivers the oats! The mouthfeel is awesome, health and smooth.
The appearance is also very healthy, major haze, if not, muddy golden color with a white-out effect. A robust white foam holds in tight and high, slow dissipation leaves a small but of lace and a very thin but constant foamy bubnly cover.
The texture is really enjoyable and the oats are supremely used, as the flavor has some seriously dense oats/wheat and grain thing happening in the malt. The hops are very complex, with big citrus and tropical fruits, and earthy tones galore! Excellent balance between the major aspects of oats and barley and the hops.
Soooo crispy and fresh in both feel and flavor! This is most likely the best Pale Ale with oats I've ever had, usually the oat addition is very subtle, this one is very bold and gives a certain uniqueness to the flavor concidering how intense and complex the hops are. This has only been in the can for about 24 hours. Fresh is best for styles like this. I'm nothing but seriously impressed.

Good two-finger head to start. It settles in a rocky fashion, leaving some lumpy lace on the glass. The color is darker gold, borderline amber. Cloudy.
Weedy aroma of freshly crushed hops. A touch of hop-cone flowers along with recently mowed dandelion greens.
The flavor is like a full blown DIPA with a solid, nearly oily base of pale malt. The hop is strong but balances well with the initial sip, slowly overwhelming the semidry taste with a black pepper bitterness that lingers a long time after the swallow. The body is full with an ever-so-slightly elevated carbonation level. The entire combination works well.
