Canned 7/10/19

Pours a beautiful opaque deep red/pink with a very small pink cap, absolutely gorgeous

Aroma of jammy sweet raspberries with a light lacto funk to make it a bit sour, pretty similar nose to Lindeman’s Framboise! Very full and richin the nose

The taste pretty much follows the nose, a little more funk and sweetness, the lime comes through in the end, almost a bit of salinity like a gose

Drinks light and crisp, some intense carbonation makes this stuff go down super easy, finishes creamy and a bit sweet

Super easy drinking sour, could drink it every day if it were more reasonably priced, but I’ll definitely be coming back to this. Damn, I’m a sucker for a fruited sour

Moderate to vigorous pour yields 1/2 inch very light pink head over a dark pink/maroon body with some lacing. Nose of raspberry and citrus. Taste mirrors nose very closely with a nice feel for the style. Very smooth, balanced, and quite refreshing; not to tart, not too sweet, and limey. This would be a fantastic summer crusher and would highly recommend. Cheers!

This is the 2018 version. Bought a can at the Beer Shop. The beer is a dark pink beer with no real head. Definitely more lime up front but the smell of raspberry is there. Very sweet raspberry fruit fills the palate. Medium body, lightly creamy. Overall, fantastic drink with really good raspberry flavors.

On tap. Poured a turbid reddish pink. Tiny crown of pink froth rests steady. Aroma is heavy on fruit. Impending tartness. Flavor is very fruity and tangy/tart. Like unripe raspberries. Finishes with a good dose of sweetness.

L-The beer pours a raspberry pink..shocking. There is a quickly dissapating 1 finger white head. No lacing is apparent.
S-A sweet rasberry nose hits you strong and overwhelms any presence of the listed lime addition.
T- On the palate it's a pretty even mix of lactic sourness and tart raspberry. Not in any way sweet unlike the nose. I get a bit of lime in the aftertaste, but it's faint and hard to pick up.
F- Feel is light and the carbonation is prickly. The sourness makes it finish kinda dry. Something you have to sip and not something you are probably gonna want multiples of at a sitting.
O- Hits on most of what it promises. Sour beer fans will like it, but will not be something for sour beer novices.

Appearance: Arrives the color of ruby red grapefruit juice, with a mauve head; a few strands of lacing hang around

Smell: Lactic raspberry tone with a hint of citrus

Taste: Lactic raspberry with an undertone of citrus flavor up front, with the tart tones dominating the finish

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A refreshing mixed fermentation sour; nothing mind blowing, just enjoyable

This was my first experience with a sour, so don't have much to compare it to, but I really liked this very much. It pours a beautiful reddish pink, like a ruby red grapefruit juice. Smells like a fruity yogurt to me, with raspberries and citrus very foward. The taste follows with a crisp, bright raspberry and lime/citrus flavor up front, with a creamy, tart finish. Almost a champagne like taste, like if you mixed a super fruity champagne with yogurt. Mouthfeel is very creamy, crisp and tart, hits my tart receptors near the back of the jaw. Overall, this was a fantastic drinking experience in my opinion. I wasn't sure what to expect going in as it was my first experience with a sour, but I was very pleasantly surprised. This was a very tasty, enjoyable brew, unlike anything I've experienced from beer this far. Would make a fantastic, refreshing summertime drink. While several other New England breweries get all the hype, Night Shift seems to fly under the radar a bit, but don't overlook this Brewery, they have quite the lineup of very good beers, and I've yet to be let down by anything I've had from them.

My 1000th review/rating!

Now, this is a beautiful beers, pours a great color of pink grapefruit.

The smell is so fresh and crisp, with lots of raspberries and citrus.

The taste is soo good, raspberries, lime and a bit of apricot is joined by a great creamy finishing touch. I could drink this all day!

Mouthfeel is creamy, soft and crisp.

Wow, I loved this, probably my favorite out of the 12 Nightshift beers I tried. Ok, tied with The 87 I guess.
