This beer pours a slightly hazy amber color with a thin white head. The smell is spicy and banana aromas. The taste is also spicy and banana with a caramel and/or vanilla flavor mixed in. The mouthfeel is lacking a bit. Overall this is very similar to other Belgian ales but could use a bit more refining.

Poured into a tulip glass.

A - Pours a hazy light copper color. Slightly off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly with minor lacing.

S - So many aromas - immediately hit by sweet bready yeast, and then the fruit kicks in. Bananas, apricots, pear. Also a bit of pepper and clove, as well as vanilla.

T - Banana definitely comes through, and a bit of vanilla. You get the malt, yeast, and hops all coming through, but yeast seems to predominate.

M - medium body, moderate carbonation.

O - Enjoyable beer. 6.7% ABV - the alcohol comes through slightly, but still easy to drink.

On tap at the brewery into snifter.

Pours a golden honey color with white head.

Smells of yeast and slight spice. Taste has sweet, yeasty flavor. Notes of vanilla and cloves and finishes clean.

This would be great as a table beer if the abv was lower. It's a good ale but not worth hunting for.

Hazy, golden honey colored beer, orange highlights as well. Thin head
Has a very sweet bready, yeasty aroma. Taste has tons of spicy notes, most likely phenols, also just a touch of dry hops on the finish. Vanilla is noticeable but very light.
Has a medium heavy body, pretty high carbonation. Does drink heavy though its certainly refreshing and not at all overly dry.
Not a blow you out of the water beer, but actually really damn balanced and drinkable. Overall a great beer.

Brew date: 3/15- 3 weeks.

Poured a copper-amber color in a tulip glass with a 2F head which resolves quickly.

Aroma is a bit weak, but good: spice especially clove, vanilla with warming.

Moderate MF. This enhances the drinkability of the beer.

Taste: vanilla and spice- clove. Excellent-the best quality of the beer.

Medium spicy finish.

Overall: very enjoyable. The beer is at its best in a tulip and at 50°+
Another excellent, drinkable, original approach to the style from Nightshift.
