Notes: Ever Weisse is a mixed fermentation sour ale aged with kiwis, strawberries, and hibiscus. With fresh, bright notes of kiwi, strawberry, and hibiscus, it’s hard to imagine yourself anywhere else but in the sunshine while sipping on Ever Weisse.

L -- Incredible strawberry lemonade hued body with a finger of light pink head produced with moderate pour. Minimal retention and some lacing
S -- Mild. Strawberry, lemon, lime, cranberry, rhubarb, cucumber, kiwi, hint of funk
T -- Exactly like an unsweetened strawberry rhubarb crisp. Not picking up too much kiwi but there's a decent hibiscus character
F -- Moderately tart. Dry and refreshing -- I imagine this is a great poolside companion. No bitterness at all
O -- Very nice take on a Berliner Weissbier, albeit a bit expensive at $18/4-pack of 16oz cans. The appearance and mouthfeel are killer

bottle (5/4/13 on 6/3/13) to night shift sniffer

A: It is bright red it could very well be mistaken for a strawberry-kwiwi mixed drink. It has little to no carbonation or head but it does leave a white lacing outside of the top of the glass. It is completely opaque which really rounds out a unique appearance.

S: Well the first smell that you get is very clearly, strawberries and they are quite pungent and distinguishable. There is some more fruitiness in there but my nose isn't good enough to define kiwi or hibiscus. There is definitely a little bit of funk in there that seems like it would come out more over time.

T: Initially it again has the distinctive taste of liquid strawberries but this is not as strong as the smell and is more subtile and very sweet. There is also come kiwi juiciness in there that clear adds to the strong sour flavor that is very vinegary and acidic but in a good way not like soy sauce though I am defiantly curious to see how this beer develops over time. The hibiscus flowers are actually present in the after taste and do seem to cut the heavy sour acidity.

M: There is a decent amount of light carbonation that helps cut into the sour. it is very light, crisp, tart and sweet all at the same time which makes it pretty drinkable even for its very strong sour taste. It goes down smooth with a very slimy vicious feel down the throat.

O: This is my first beer from Night Shift and I am really impressed I will definitely be back at this brewery as for their beer itself it does live up to my expections but it does not blow me away. The strawberry and kiwi flavors are there but I wish it was not so harsh and vinegary. With that being said I would definitely recommend this beer.

Canned 3/08/18. 1.5 weeks in the can.

Pours a completely opaque pale raspberry color in the glass with half a finger of a fast dispersing slightly pink-white head. Strawberry and hibiscus forward on the nose followed by kiwi, sour raspberry and confectioners sugar. Taste at first reminds me a of weak watermelon Warhead candy, followed by the kiwi+strawberry and ends with a slightly toasty malt. Light-medium body with a indistinguishable 4.6% ABV, you could tell me this didn't have alcohol and I'd believe it. Overall a beautiful looking beer that I could imagine being extremely refreshing sitting on a patio by the beach.

750ml capped bottle into Tired Hands stemware. Shared by schen9303.

Pours a foamy 1 finger light pink colored head with little retention. Beer is a clear orange tomato. No lacing. Average.

Nose is outstanding! Hints of kiwi, strawberry, foam, straw, yeast and a sprinkle of tartness. Very aromatic. I could smell it as I was pouring!

Opens tart strawberry, funk and yeast. Lemon zest mixed with floral notes and some kiwi appear in the middle. Intensely tart throughout. Finishes with an accented tartness. Clean, fruity aftertaste with a touch of sweetness. Really good.

Light bodied with ample carbonation. Prickly and lively in the mouth and goes down foamy and aggressive. Crisp, puckering finish with a filmy, dry aftertaste that lingers. Real refreshing!

Really an outstanding beer that is top notch all the way through. Decent complexity and as drinkable as the style should be. Definitely worth seeking out!
