Went to the new Lovejoy Wharf location and was impressed. The layout is very cool and VERY different from their original Everett location. The food wasn't "destination" worthy on its own but it was perfectly good to accompany a beer-centric experience and reasonably priced for the area.

Beers are all $8 or $9 for full 16 oz. pours unless they were high ABV, and for a buck more you can get a 20 ounce pour. Sadly that's a pretty damn good price for Boston drinking. Best of all was that they have a ton of beers unique to that location - probably half the menu. Percentage wise it's a hoppy menu, but they have so many beers that there are still plenty of other options. They had a Vienna, a Pilsner, a couple farmhouse, 3 weisse's, a rye porter, and even a Dark Mild (which made me very happy) and an English Barley Wine.

Don't take my specific descriptors too seriously here as there was a lot going on. The short story is that everything was at least very good except the Pilsner.

Vienna: very good. Felt a bit like a crisper, brighter Sam Adams.

Dark Mild; very good though maybe just a touch thin.

NE DIPA: very good but they had a couple of them and I don't remember which one this was.

West Coast IPA: it wasn't labeled as such but that's basically what it was. The name had 'dank' in it and it was indeed that. Nice bitterness and older school look/body. Really good and a nice change of pace.

English Barley Wine: Excellent! Rich and raisiny and true to its name as it was not overly hoppy in the least.

NE Pale Ale: this was called 'Fuzzy Situation' and it may have knocked Whirpool off its pedestal as my wife's favorite beer of theirs. It's only a little boozier (5%) but it has a thicker body and citrusy rather than peachy flavor. Fantastic.

German Pilsner: this was the only clunker. It was only 3.5% ABV and basically tasted the way you might fear a pilsner that low would taste. Had kind of a harsh lemony hoppiness to it that had no richness or maltiness to back it up.

The patio isn't open yet but they said it should be within a couple weeks. Bar was packed when we got there at 6:00 and by 7:00 the dining areas were packed too. Great experience all around. They're going to make a mint here

Setup right along the wharf, although with not much in way of a 'view' aside from overlooking the Police marina. The restaurant/store setup is quite unique, with a large, typical restaurant style to the left, and a small cafe for to-go coffee and to-go beer on the right. Inside is well lit, with large windows for natural lighting. The cafe feels intimate with a very typical cafe design for these days (white floors/walls, small pops of color). To-go beers are available in 4 packs, but are allowed to be broken up into singles or any combination. No comment on wait staff, as we just bought beer to-go. Selection was good, while spanning several IPAs, they also had a few lager varieties in addition to a couple stouts, including a barrel aged version, meaning consumers could pull for a variety of tastes.

Nice bright space friendly staff it was hot as blazes the day I was here but there was a good amount of inside seating. I have been told it is quite crowded on Saturdays but can't say for certain.

Visited on a Wednesday afternoon strictly for a can pickup. Even at about 3 PM it was pretty hopping. Really a fun vibe, had a small outdoor area too. The togo setup is great, they sell singles and were friendly with good service and a good selection. Really kept the line moving. I'm a fan of their hops, a little more traditional than the hazy stuff from Trill or TH, had one at the bar too.

Not my favorite joint- overcrowded with millennial hipsters, bartenders were douches and the beer is way overrated. Way better spots in Boston to hit.

I visited on a Saturday afternoon. The place is large and never seemed crowded. The room looks like a converted garage with concrete floors and an open ceiling. There are many long benches and smaller four-tops with hard seating.

The service is a walk up counter. Today, they offered 13 beers on tap with a wide range of styles. All of the beers were of superior quality.

A very consistent and pleasant brewery to visit. I've never had the pleasure of going through a tour, but I've always enjoyed my visits to the taproom and they do an incredible job creating a fun environment. There is always a healthy variety of beer selection, which I appreciate every time I get the chance to visit.

Nice large taproom that offers cans to go. Water coolers are a good addition. Food trucks are convenient. Attentive and quick service. Chalkboard has good descriptions

Revamped industrial building with lengthy serving bar and ample seating in its 2 high-ceilinged, open, front rooms. 18 beers in a wide variety of stlyes on tap... most available in cans - they will sell single cans, really like that - but no growler fills at the time. Service was friendly, efficient and informative. Had a very enjoyable time and look forward to my next visit.

A huge space for a brewery and tasting rooms, by far the largest I have been to. Indoor and outdoor seating with a food truck on the premises. Large, friendly crowd on the day of my visit. Short but very good brewery tour. Excellent selection, fourteen beers on tap, seven different styles. The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgable, courteous and helpful. They worked very well together and quickly on a busy day. The beers range in quality from just ok to outstanding.

Nighshift is a fun place. Lots of room indoors and even more outside. Plenty of beers on tap, and a great selection to-go. Service is very good, and food trucks are frequent. But the key is the beer, and they have top notch options. If you are visiting Boston, or travelling thru on your way to Portland, you must stop.

V: Dark, cool decor. Was pretty busy but everybody was having a blast. Layout is huge too which was welcome. Outdoor area as well with a foodtruck (was doing top notch Jamaican that day)
Q: It's Nightshift. They make quality beers for sure.
Ser: Good, friendly people, not waiting tables or anything but can't complain by any means
Sel: Tons of their beer on tap, really can't go wrong.

Located in Everett, Night Shift is not the easiest to get to, thank God for Uber.

Very industrial space, like a big warehouse. Pretty cool vibe, pretty quiet on a Friday morning.

The selection of beer was awesome, they had about twelve taps with IPAs, sours, a porter and more. They also had bottle pours of a few beers. I tried twelve beers, and every one was at least very good, and a couple were world class. They obviously only have their own beers.

Service was great, the guy, whose name I don't recall, was very friendly, and was happy to chat about beer, both theirs and in general.

They also sell merch, T-shirts, glasses and so on, and beer in bottles or 4-packs.

Overall, I had a great time at Night Shift. A bit of a trek to get to, but worth every dime and minute.

It's hard to get to but Night Shift is a solid little brewery in Everett. Fun place for a Sunday afternoon of beer. No major thrills but it makes up for it with great beer and charm.

Located in a warehouse section, warehouse look on the outside, warehouse vibe on the inside. Not a bad thing at all! When the weather is warmer they have outdoor seating. On the inside, the tables are long and connected like a German beer hall and (25) beers on tap which is generous. I walked away being impressed and wanting more Night Shift beers.

Great beers including plenty of small batch gems. Overall setup indoor and out is brilliant, including arcades and bags. Taproom is spacious and decked out with some cool designs, new annex just just adds to it all. Always great food truck offerings outside. Love this place.

Just a great place overall. Huge selection, great food truck options, plenty of places to sit in and outside. Will be coming back again for sure. Don't skip this place if you're in the area.

Impossible not to enjoy yourself once you're there. Super upbeat vibe, friendly staff, great selection and the space is always expanding. Their core lineup is always on tap as is another half dozen or so releases, not counting bottles and cans to go. Street parking is decent but that has everything to do with the location - industrial park in Everett; concrete everywhere. Not easy to get to although the T is nearby the walk can be dangerous - rotaries and fast cars. Once you get there - so much fun. Dogs welcome on the patio a big plus!

I love this place, and the beer. They have several excellent beers (Santilli, Whirlpool, etc) and the place is so much fun (for me anyway) ... very earthy and funky, and they even have some classic arcade games! (very fun for me)

I love this place. Lines are quick, beer is good, service is friendly. It's a big warehouse-type space, probably an equal amount of seating and standing room. They've got a large patio with tables, both seated and standing, and there's typically food trucks parked up against it. There's also a few free arcade games.

I've been here quite a few times and have never been disappointed. They have a food truck serving great eats the majority of the time. They always have 12+ beers on tap available in either flights or full pours, with true 16 oz. pints available for appropriate styles. It can get busy later on the weekend with parking tough to find but is typically quiet around opening. I really love the patio which happens to be dog friendly (pooches are not allowed inside the brewery).

I went with a few friends around opening on a Saturday and therefore it wasn't too crowded. That started to change when we were leaving to our next stop on our brewery hop two hours later. I liked the layout of the place and appreciated the beer selection. They had most of their staples as well as a few seasonal/more limited release beers. I wasn't blown away by any of their beers, but all seemed solid for their style. The atmosphere, was convivial beer geek and those accompanying their beer geek friends. My only negative experience was getting a beat down by my friend on the Street Fighter game, but at least it was a free beatdown. (game was free to play). I don't know if I will ever be back in Everett, but if I am, it will definltely stop in again.

Everything I would want in a taproom experience. Plenty of available parking. Lots of space. Brewery area was visible from the taproom. Nice merchandise section. Easy to talk to people in our group. The selection was fantastic based on variety of styles, a vintage BA tap, society exclusive tap, and flights. The flights and taster size glasses were the key based on the wide range of options. Numerous to-go canned options as well as a BA Quad in bottles. Only a slight knock that two taproom bartenders couldn't answer a question I had about one of the beers.

Night shift has a reputation for making a million different beers at their tap house. There are usually 12-16 beers on tap. This is their best and worst feature. There are so many time's i've visited where I've had standout beers side by side with an experiment that missed the mark. I love visiting Night Shift during their off hours. Over the weekend the space is crowded and there's a long line to get in.
