This is your typical neighborhood spot but with an above-average selection and friendly service. Not a destination place by any means, but if you're in area and need something local, this place will do just fine.

All around average. Grabbed the last Rev seasonal in the cooler and was on my merry way. Mainstreet has a bigger selection, this place has maybe 60% of what Mainstreet has.
It’s an older store, a brick bunker with a faded neon sign towering on the corner. Inside it’s all tile floors and florescent lights. Firewood stacked up front.
Service was limited to the register. A stockperson passed me silently twice in the beer zone, then loudly bantered with the checkout clerk later about ladders. Customer service is not really a strong suit here.
Beer was down one or two aisles, somewhat organized by place of origin. Small amount of German, Belgian, euro imports. Noticed St. Bernardus Xmas already. A lot of cans from Buckledown, which is nearby I guess. Rev, Dovetail, Off Color, Half Acre, the staples, not many deep cuts.
Overall it was ok, check out Mainstreet nearby for a wider selection.

Smaller liquor store. Doesn't have a huge amount of beer, but what it has is pretty good. Staff was very friendly. Prices ok.

Prestige is one of my favorite stores in the local area (the La Grange Park/Countryside/Brookfield "triangle"). Their selection isn't gigantic, but they have a full, long aisle of quality craft beers and a fairly large selection of refrigerated craft beers. Prices are spot on and they're generally friendly and helpful. Worth a stop if you're in the area, but not a destination spot.
