Notes / Commercial Description:
An explosion of hops! Followed by shock and awe! Then more hops! This is a big citrusy, piney and floral IPA with a big American hop character leading in aroma and flavor, followed by a firm malt backbone with light caramel and toasted notes and clean, assertive yet balanced, bitter finish.

This is easily the best of the beers I had at the new alpine dog. A great big juicy hop profile to it, Amarillo for sure, and then some more rudimentary bittering hops. Golden beer with a slight chill haze and a brass tint. A tall white head caps it beautifully. Nose and taste both showcase the Amarillo really well with the citrus fruit being prominent. A hint of medium crystal malt gives it a lot of body and a hint of sweetness, which manifests itself as balance here. A fresh and well made IPA, nothing out of this world, but it is much better than satisfactory, and shows a lot of promise for this new outfit.
