It's actually a chain of liqor shops. I visited three different shops during my stay including this one.
Check their website to see which vendor is closest to your hotel. It might be worthwhile checking different shops as their offering is sleightly different.

I had been looking for another place listed here, but our damn travel map mis-labeled a street so we ended up in this area and I remembered Todd's review about a place somewhere in the vacinity. I saw this Hoffmann place and took a chance, kinda funny that I managed to find it without knowing the name or the address.

This place is better than most you'll find in Berlin. They have a small collection of glassware, good place to pick up some Berliner Weisse glasses if you're interested. Man I dislike how these places display their beer (crates, crates, crates).

You won't find a huge range of styles but they are well organized. On your right will be all the lighter fare. The left you get into the dunkles, keller and anything remotely different. As I said, the selection isn't huge but you'll find some interesting things that aren't readily available in many places around Berlin.

Just left of the "entrance" to the crate area is a shelf with some more expensive beers, looked like some seasonal type offerings.

Stop by if you're in the area.

All around good liquor store near the lower-end of Ku'damm. Enter, then take a left, then your first right to enter the mini-maze of beer crates. Enter, then take a left and continue straight for their can selection of beer and glassware.

They boast around 50 +/- beers, mostly regional to Berlin, all of which are available as singles. I picked up 7 bottles and 2 cans for a mere 6 Euro, which is insanely cheap in comparison to ordering the same beer in a bar!!

Note: You'll need to either bring your own carrier for your purchase or buy plastic bags for 15 Euro cents -- they are sturdy.

My recommendation: if you're staying anywhere near Ku'damm in West Berlin ... make this your first stop. Stock up on beer for your room, and water (which can cost you as much as a beer when you are out and about).
