Whoa, this place is way bigger than I thought, both on the bar and patio side, as well as the restaurant side. This is a full blown, full service restaurant with a large two-sided bar extending into a large patio, as well as a multi-floor restaurant seating area that showcases great views of the city. It has easy access to event spaces downtown, and...terrible parking, especially if the only reason you're coming down here is to hang out at the brewery.

Service was a bit lackluster, as they would often get side-tracked socializing with each other, while fully aware numerous patrons were empty on beer or ready to place their first order. Some of the staff also seemed somewhat unfamiliar with beer in general--both knowledge-wise, and in basic pouring technique--so it seems they have a higher than normal turnover rate for bar staff, who I usually find to be the most reliable staff in a larger establishment like this.

Beer itself was of a nice quality, and the taplist was shockingly large and varied, not just offering a few lagers, but all different kinds of variations on that theme, as well as some ales and guest drafts.

The food, for me, is the reason to come back here, as Moerlein is a really solid restaurant serving hefty portions of quality food.

This large eating and drinking establishment is conveniently located across the street from Great American Ballpark. It has a large bar and eating area in a really pleasant, informal setting. They serve house Moerlein beers but also have some really nice guest taps, as well as bottles and cans of good regional and national craft beer. There is a decent menu of pub cuisine that is well-prepared and tasty. There are numerous TV's scattered throughout so you can watch the Reds action. The wait staff is attentive but not hovering. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy before, during or after a ballgame or, for that matter, any time.

Wonderful beer and food and an excellent view. The service was very good and we never felt rushed despite the place being packed. To bad it was cold an rainy. I would have loved to eaten outside. Next time I'm in Cincinnati I will have to come here again.

Went here after a Saturday afternoon Reds game. The place was packed but we managed to get a table. The beer selection is incredible. I tried a few of their different beers and they were all pretty good. The food was also pretty good.

My only complaints are that the tables are too close together and you have to seat yourself. I saw several spilled beers because people were walking between tables and bumping into them. As more and more people starting coming in from the game it started getting really crowded and people were standing everywhere.

Overall it was a very cool place and will be back again when I'm in town for a game.

Great location if you are going to a Reds or Bengals game. Not a bad place, just nothing to write home about. Average beer, albeit pricy.

I give this place a perfect score. The reality is most of the house beer here is just decent. But they have an awesome variety of great guest beers. The food is amazing! The location is stellar. Check it out after a Bengals or Reds game.

I think it's safe to say this is a unique place. The Lager House is two stories. It's much more of a restaurant atmosphere than a lager house atmosphere. Regardless, there is a bar on each floor. It is more advisable, however, to go there for a meal. The food is excellent and there is essentially a full restaurant menu.

You can try all of the Christian Moerlein beers on tap as well as a decent list of other guest taps. Flights are available. The beers a whole are above average but noting terribly exciting in my opinion. The OTR Ale and Vienna Lager are the highlights of the Moerlein lineup. The Moerlein beers are in name only as the original brewery went belly up during Prohibition. The current business owner has been wisely buying up old Cincinnati brewery names and revitalizing the core of the beer experience in Cincinnati.

The overall atmosphere is what sells the place. The entire establishment is on the banks of the Ohio and half of the building is glass offering a full view of the river and the magnificent Roebling Suspension Bridge. The is a wrap around patio as well for very pleasant and scenic outside dining.

Very reasonable prices for food and beer. Bar area is nice and separated from the regular seating. Great view out over the Ohio River and just across the street from Great American Ballpark. Good selection of food, but food is not amazing (jazzed up pub food essentially with a few more higher quality offerings).
