Currants and blackberries melange how can you lose. Reminded me of SARA like quality and feel. This is truly spectacular. Made me feel like I was drinking a slightly less better version of St. Lam and Black Agnes at the same time. Which having said that should give you an idea of how tasty this is

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no vintage dating. Pours fairly crystal clear deep ruby red, light orange/pink/purple color with a small dense and creamy light pink head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy blackberry, black currant, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, peach, plum, cherry, cranberry, apricot, pear, red/green apple, red grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and bread; with lighter notes of leathery/musty/lacto funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of blackberries, black currants, fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, wine barrels, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge sour/tart/tangy blackberry, black currant, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, peach, plum, cherry, cranberry, apricot, pear, red/green apple, red grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and bread; with lighter notes of leathery/musty/lacto funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, wine tang, and yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour blackberry, black currant, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, peach, plum, cherry, cranberry, apricot, pear, red/green apple, red grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, bread, leathery/musty/lacto funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of blackberries, black currants, fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, wine barrels, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a solid malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance. Increasing pucker through the glass, but not too overwhelming. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a smooth, and moderately creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.7%. Overall this is a fantastic fruited sour/wild saison. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of blackberries, black currants, fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, wine barrels, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; smooth and fairly crisp/easy to drink for the ABV, with the moderately acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Fantastic balance between super jammy berries/currants, Brett/Bacteria complexity, and wine barrel presence; with solid pale/wheat malts against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy/tannic dryness. This was a lot more lactic than I expected, and I have a super high tolerance for acidity. Probably one of the 2-3 year old vintages. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example otherwise.

A: Berry aromas upfront with some mild funk in the background.

A: Bright hazy purple color with almost no head whatsoever.

T: Big berry flavor from the currants and blackberries upfront, followed by subtle grain and oak flavors.

M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation. This beer is funky, but not overtly acidic.

O: Outstanding! Originally made for The Full Pint’s 8th Anniversary, this beer melds the fruit (currants and blackberries) aroma and flavors well with the rest of the farmhouse components.

Pours bright purple. Aromas of juicy berries upfront followed by barnyard funk. Taste is similar to smell with the berries popping in front followed by perfect funk. I cannot stress how well this beer is balanced and refined. With all the breweries doing "ok sours" and "ok saisons", this is a good change. World class. Not overly acidic or overly funky.

a:pours a nice deep reddish color with fluffy pink head that builds and hangs out for quick hello.
n:mellow, earthy funkiness, tart cherries, black currants.
t:follows nose. but tartness has mellowed and their house strain is putting in work. def more complex than
a year ago. med-low acidity and getting a bit of oxidation... good layers.
m:light and pillowy. high carbonation... effervescent.
o:drinking better as it ages. i have one more bottle may let it sit for another year or two.
