One of the newest microbreweries to open in Torrance. This is their first batch. Poured from tap into a tulip glass

Appearance is a light yellow. Good carbonation.

Smells great. It almost reminds me of a more floral Orval. It smells like there is a bit of funkiness to it

The taste is very good. It has exactly what I'm looking for in a Belgian pale ale. It's not hoppy at all and instead relies on the spices and yeast to carry the flavor through. It's also been brewed with Elderflowers, so that makes up the floral character. Very drinkable.

Mouthfeel is nice. Doesn't have a huge body.

Overall this is a very good start and promising for a new brewery. I can't wait to try their dubbel and tripel when they're ready.

On-tap at Beachwood Brewing

The pour is a clear golden color with a tall white head. Lots of banana aroma along with some floral and herbal notes. A little bit of yeast to go along with bread and sweet sugar. Kind of funky, probably from the elderflower. There a strong sweetness and fruitiness of bananas. Some sweetness of sugar and bread, too. Really...interesting.

They called it a "Belgian Style Mild Ale" at Beachwood BBQ. Darkish amber in the tulip glass. With a modest head, and not particularly well carbonated. Nice light mouthfeel, but not at all watery.

the flavor is quite robust, but milder than the typical yeasty Belgian-style concoctions. This has some of the usual bitterness but not much of the yeast. Slightly funky, but it has a great spicy and slightly roasted malt flavor. Sensationally drinkable. One of the the best Belgian-inspired light beers I've had. Almost tastes like it has coriander added. Lack of carbonation is the only fault for me.

On tap at Monkish Brewing Company in Torrance, CA.

Pours a clear orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, yeast, spice, and floral aromas. Taste is much the same with a floral aftertaste that lingers on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is easy to drink but it tastes better than it smells in my opinion.
