So you remember your first homebrew? Have you ever over malted a homebrew in hopes to get drunk? Welcome to Magnificat in 2017. I cant comment on the initial flavor and sure I had several Pure Project stouts and some M.T finally in LA but this tasted like a malty malt that would only pair well with a $1.99 ham egg and cheese from the bodega and a black and mild. Cheers.

Real dark with an off white head.
Citrus and mint.
Car air freshener. Tolerable, as opposed to piercing. Kind of an oxidized feel but not quite that. Raisin and prune is covered up. Not that sugary.
Airs toward dubbel, not sweet enough to be a quad.

- 2014 vintage
- 750mL bottle poured into stemless wine glass on 6-Dec-14
This straight-up smells and tastes like Coke, if Coca Cola made a Christmas version of it's original Coke. The Belgian candy yeast is a little too cloying for my personal tastes. But I can appreciate the good texture, no heat despite the abv, and good balance of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. I would've appreciated a bit more malt build. Overall, a good one to share for the holidays.
