Big foamy creamy head 1.5 finger, fades at med lace, light messy lacing, dark mahogany clear color.
Nose peppery, green pepper, baking spices, like a cardamom thing, pepper heat, little roasty metallic thing, faint Belgian esters and sweet malts.
Taste is sweet, more Belgian dubbel like with candy fig, date, fruity esters, light baking spices and candy sweet flavors, syrupy notes, faint pepper but almost no spice, but definite Sichuan like pepper taste. Finish sticky sweety, candy sweet syrupy malts, Belgian dubbel ester profile, faint pepper heat.
Mouth is med bit heavier bod, fluffy carb, little sticky.
Overall eh.

Thanks to JLindros for sharing.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark garnet clearish hue with a two finger light tan head that fades to leave a thin blanket.
S - Aromas of malts, roast, light metallic, faint vegative pepper note. Light light peppercorn.
T - Taste is similar to the nose. Toffee, malts, light metallic, faint peppercorns. Light bit of spice.
M - Mouthfeel is thin, watery, brightly carbonated.
O - Overall this beer was rather interesting, in theory, but a failure in execution.

Very interesting beer. Delicious, as most all Monkish brews are.
