Pours a cloudy, golden orange with a one finger fresh white head. The head fades quickly and the lacing is minimal. Smells of wheat and citrus, but very little, if any hop aroma. Tastes of wheat up front, w/ a dry cereal component. Finishes crisp with light citrus. Mouthfeel is a bit too highly carbonated for my liking.

Overall, a refreshing summer beer that I would have again but would not necessarily seek out.

Beer is cloudy orange-golden in colour, with a small to medium sized white head that fades quickly.

Smell contains wheat and dry cereal. I don't get a lot of hops from the nose.

Taste contains wheat upfront, with a decent hop component, but not as flavourful as I would have expected. Some light fruit. Dry cereal.

Medium bodied, moderately carbonated. Heavy for a wheat.

Overall, disappointing. Not bad but not something I would go back to.

I have had a couple of different Bell's beers and this one was not my favorite. It was good by most beer standards but by Bell's standards I don't think it is their best.

It had a very nice appearance. It poured a nice golden honey color with a very nice head around 3/4 to 1" and some nice lacing on the glass.

It didn't have a very distinctive smell for me. I will admit my nose was a little stuffed, but I still didn't get any special smell. It had a bit of a wheaty smell.

Taste was good but not great. It was wheaty and a little malty but not much else was going on. It did have a good beer flavor, but nothing too distinctive.

Mouthfeel was what made this beer. It had a very nice carbonation and a refreshing feel on the tongue. It was enjoyable to drink based on this.

Overall it was a pretty good beer, but it wasn't my favorite Bell's product.

AP: like cloudy honey but not so thick. Robust, white head after the bottle swirl to get the sediments mixed in.

AR: citrus-y, almost sour. Rising dough smell is faint at first but seems to come alive more and more as the beer sits in the glass.

M: light and not near as effervescent as one might expect from a bottle conditioned beer.

TA: much hoppier than your standard wheat beer. Has a typical wheat sweetness with a hoppy bitterness than remains after the swallow. Seems like many Wheats are bittered with spice and rind. This certainly seems to possess a greater hop load than the normal wheat beer.

I recommend.

Dark straw color with gold and orange hues. Beer shows some chill haze.

Citrus, lime zest, saltine cracker, cat pee, meyer lemon.

Lemon zest, yellow apple, hop bitterness and crisp acidity.

Medium bodied with firm carbonation and a dry finish.

Did not care for the ammonia in the nose.

- packaged 3/27/13. consumed 7/10/13.

A: A raging, swirling effervesce storms within a tangerin-orange body with a dense nature with some macro-floaties whirling about. A sea-shell white head is creamy of 1 inch high and has good retention with a good lace stickage.

S: Soft lemon pulp, grapefruit but very weak from my standpoint. Consumed 4 months after packaging may have had some effect.

T: Flavor is tangerine-orange, bright citrusy nature, Orange and grapefruit juices, hops seem fresh and bright, no dry hopping here, some bready character with a pulpy grapefruit finish.Wheat body adds a creaminess and soft mellow feel.

M: Creamy, bready medium full body with a strong sense of carbonation.

O: Overall the hops are juicy, pulpy, with a refreshing tart lemonade quality perfect for sipping poolside on a hot summer day. Refreshing tart, not overly bitter, easy consuming nature, good. Not to compare apples to oranges, but after hearing alot about this, is not on the same level as thier two hearted, but then again not many beers are.

Poured from a bottle.

Appearance - a yellow orange straw color of summer!

Smell - straw, yeast, grass, wheat.

Taste - very similar to the smell.

Mouthfeel - very smooth, cool and refreshing.

Overall - one of my favorite summer beers. I feel like this offering from Bells often gets too much flack from the craft beer community.
