12 oz bottle poured into a stout glass. Look is dark brown body with a khaki head that falls to a thin cap. Smell is roasted malts, cocoa. Taste is rich, roasted malt, grain, bitter cocoa, dark roast coffee. Feel is medium to full bodied, w decent carbonation. Overall, a nice, bitter, roasty stout. Not much sweetness to balance as the name / style may suggest.

Very dark color with a quarter inch head. SRM 34. 6.1% ABV. I bought it because it said sweet stout. Seems to me like it's good but average for Bell's; comparable to Founders, Allagash, and Boulevard. It's dark, it's stout, slightly sweet as advertised. Slightly bitter with the taste of dark chocolate.

Double cream is spot on naming for this one. Enjoy a good sweet stout but this one divides on delivering a stout and chalky creaminess. What is missing is the nail on the sweet stoutiness.

I've enjoyed one of these poured from a bottle in each of the past few winters. It has excellent creamy mouthfeel with a tasty roast flavor that matches that pretty well. There's even a bit of hop (or perhaps coffee) bitterness. It's a winter favorite that I should drink more often.

12oz bottle. Stamped date on label is 'BESTBY: 28SEP25'.
Black colored body, with a red mahogany back lit edge. One finger of light tan head, and this recedes to islands and a ring. Leaves behind a few scattered lacing spots.
Aroma of roasted malts, with sweet coffee and a bit of chocolate.
Taste is a little sweet but more dark and roasty. Flavors of dark rich coffee and cocoa. Rich and bitter, tempered by the creamy sweetness. Bitter aftertaste fades quickly.
Medium mouthfeel. Has a thin creamy texture. Some tongue numbness. Good carbonation.
Stays away from extremes for bitterness and for sweetness, but extends gestures of both.

Felt like something rich and malty. Local was having a good sale on this Bell's classic that I hadn't sampled in a while. Poured into my stout (not necessarily Stout) mug.
L -- Deep, black body with a tight, creamy, tan head that holds up well.
S -- Cocoa, milk chocolate, creamed coffee.
T -- Roasted malts, earthy back with dark fruit and herbal bitterness. Cocoa and roasted malt in the finish.
F -- Creamy smooth mouthfeel with a medium-robust to robust body.
O -- Very nice rendition of the style.
