Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a finger's worth of dieing white foamy head. Not much lace.
The aroma centered around some roasted dark malts, light dark chocolate and a little bit of black cherry sweetness.
The flavor cued up the roast and the sweetness of the malt initially and then delves into the black cherry. Aftertaste was tainted with some of the dark chocolate and roast, cherry juice slightly.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, pretty good stout that I think Bell's pulled off what they wanted to by their commercial description. However, if it was me, I'd want to try and bring some of the tartness about in the flavor just to ensure that the black cherries were authentic.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip - Aged 1 year

L: Dark black pour with hints of mahogany around the edges. Thin brown head. Spotty lacing.

S: Roast and cocoa... mixed nicely with dark cherry.

T/F: Dark roasted malts provide some nice cocoa and coffee flavors. Cherry is definitely present but not overwhelming... and provides some nice tartness that works with the malty stout. Only medium in body... the low-ish ABV makes it fairly drinkable. Finish is slightly tart and fruity.

O: This seems to be a hit or miss kinda beer for people. If you would enjoy cherries and a slightly tart stout this would probably go over well for you. If those things don't sound appealing you should probably pass.

Poured from 12oz bottle into Seidel. Bottled on October 5th 2016.

L: Dark brown with ruby edges, finger width tan head that fades slowly.

S: Chocolate, roast cocoa, ripe dark fruits aka cherries.

T: The chocolate and cocoa are the prominent flavors with the cherry hints are just that, a hint. Glad it isn't over powering.

F: Medium bodied and good carbonation. A touch syrupy.

O: Not a bad stout but Bell's has better offerings.

Pours deep dark brown with a tan head that dissipates. Smells of dark roasted malts, chocolate, and tart cherry. Flavor follows but I can't help but notice a medicinal like aftertaste. Overall, this is a good stout, but may have to revisit from the bottle to give a better opinion. Cheers

Bottled 10/5/2016
A - Pours a pitch black color with 2 fingers, toffee colored head. A lot of particles can be seen floating around in this brew. Average head retention.

S - Very malty aroma with subdued notes of cherry and dark chocolate.

T - Bittersweet and malty. Definitely a stout, however, very distinctive and unique tasting given the cherries. The cherry flavoring doesn't really hit you until you reach the bottom where the cherry particles settled. All in all, flavorings of malt and cherry are most dominating with hints of chocolate present as well.

M - Not as thick/heavy of a stout as I was expecting. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Smooth and creamy.

O - A great beer from a great company! Not you're typical stout however very enjoyable and a good source for your daily serving of fruit!
Can't wait to try it again after some cellaring.

Bottled 11/13/15; drank 11/28/15 @ the Yarchives.

Poured from the bottle into a glass.

Black/purple appearance.

A rough pour yielded a small dark khaki head; decent lace.

Blackberry, fresh earth, raw oats & faint booze heat notes in the nose.

Medium thick mouthfeel.

Tart cherry, cream & raw oat flavors up front; sweet cherry & milk chocolate notes on the finish. A bit messy but certainly flavorful & enjoyable.
