This one pours a pleasant and cloudy umber color that has a thin long lived head that settles quickly with little lacing down the glass.
The nose consists of pine, oranges, elderberry, camphor, bread, and wet grass.
The taste is exceptionally strong hoppiness with a VERY dry malt base that consists of strong sense of camphor, evergreen, pine, ear wax, and bread.
The moutfeel is rich and quite satisfactory.
Overall a stoutly bitter IPA that is exceptional considering its bitterness. I found it to accompany real country made beef jerk jerky quite accommodating and delicious. Bells is showing a lot of promise since coming to be sold here locally, I am enjoying this one thoroughly.

Caramel in color, slightly hoppy in smell. The flavor does not hold up as well as I would have liked. The taste is decent, but dry and white pepper comes out forward. Not much aftertaste or follow through. Good beer.

Exclusive for the Texas audience, a strong IPA taste comes with a mild IPA effect as the common Bell's IPA profile comes moderately bitter and decidedly citrusy, tropical and bitter. But isn't it so "Texas" to be different?
Opening with the classic Bell's IPA look, the austere of amber and copper carry a mild haze and a frothy white head. Perfumy citrusy rolls onto the nose along with hints of tropical and sprucy fragrances. Its taste is supple and sweet with moderate granola character bringing caramel, nutty and toasty flavors ahead of the hops.
But across the middle palate, the sweetness lifts and the hops take center stage. Sweetness turns to a nutty toastedness and the hops grow into a dominant taste of pink grapefruit, tangy orange, light lemon and a succulent tang of pineapple, to frame a bitter finish of freshly muddled spruce, and bold hop resins.
Medium boded and trending malty dry, the taste is balanced on the early palate while its finish trends hoppy, friendly and drinkable. A long aftertaste of pine outlasts any malt or fruit agreement.

I had to try this after I saw it was Bells' introductory beer into the Texas market. It's a beautiful copper color, slightly hazy, light tan head. The aromas are slightly astringent citrus and tropical fruits.
The taste is very dry and astringent, with the citrus flavors providing some body. Glad to try this and VERY glad Bells is now in Texas.
